OrneryTroll, will you stop saying "Oh if we do this these guys are going to start QQing, so it's a bad idea". That's not going to happen. Also, he didn't say increase CASTER loot, just leather/mail/plate loot.
it's because they will QQ about it, look now, not enough leather/mail/plate SP gear drops now and you are QQ ing about it.
On the other hand, if we increase the mail/plate/leather loot and possibly make it more attractive to non-cloth healers and casters
sounds like caster gear to me, don't you think?
Well melee dps aren't having that tough of a time gearing up when compared to non-cloth casters and healers. If that becomes an issue then by all means raise the drops for melee dps to match that of casters and healers.

Congratulations on finding the 3 times the guys have been !@#$ed off enough to act like that. If your going to do that at least show the times the other people who are saying everyone is QQing are immature, there's a lot to pick from.
edit:Catch you guys tommorow, I need to sleep. So you just let them behave like that because you on their side and you don t like Orneytroll's opinion? Sounds like hypocrisy to me. And i didn’t see a valid response from them on Chase123 questions either
Well since you appear to be new, I will give you a quick tutorial on forum behavior.
1. Be rude to people whose opinions you disagree with. Especially calling their intelligence and reading comprehension into question.
2. Ignore other people being rude on forums if they agree with you.
3. Cry constantly about rudeness and immaturity of people you disagree with.

Yes they can, but imagine them rolling on it on cross-realm instances, ninja'ing would increase exponentially, hell I would make a pally and druid for that right lol. At least they would think about it because they would get a bad rep on the same server, but on the cross-realm, I would bet anything there would be a thread just like this where a pally or druid would ninja everything on cross-realm for offspec and you would armory and they dont even have dual-spec. Like I said, that idea is just asking for trouble you guys can't even imagine
I repeat what I have said in another thread: Even if there are some jerks who like to steal loot every now and then, the majority of the Wow players is still honest, or so I like to believe. Just because these jerks exist there isn't a reason to make it almost impossible for the majority of the honest players to aquire gear. It's a matter of comparativeness.
It's said that opportunity makes crime (or something like that), but still you won't see every other item stolen by someone if they'd change the system.
As said by several people, and suggested by me in the other thread, just make it possible for everyone to roll Need on something they can wear, but have lower armor classes get priority.
Edit: Removed the quote-pyramid ^_^°
Stopped reading after the bold, yes you will see people coming out of the woodwork stealing items. You made sense in your case until you said that. What's gonna stop a guy from hitting Need on everything on a cross-server instance, nothing at all. I don't like repeating myself, but if you implement that idea, it's gonna be a world of hurt for people needing gear
Whether or not this has been pointed out by someone in a later post, didnt care to read every damn thing over such a stupid argument, the OP is suggesting that if someone were to hit the Off-Spec button, it would prompt every other person in the group if they felt that the offspec roll was justified. In which case a pally or shammy or drood, rolling on cloth/mail items when they are in their caster spec, is completely justified. Even if a clothy or leather or mail caster doesnt like the fact, if its gear that improves another caster, it is 100% valid that they would be allowed to roll on the item. Saying otherwise is the lower armor class being thickheaded and just wanting to assure their own loot. In which case your just being a greedy ass, as opposed to "ninjaing." And since when has "ninjaing" and "getting an upgrade" been used interchangeable. Heads up, it is NOT ninjaing if someone is genuinely getting an upgrade for the gear they have. Get over it and pray that you in the roll. If you lose, suck it up and get the !@#$ over it.
TL:DR- to the OP, I like your idea. give ppl in the group a prompt. if nothing else youll atleast know which clothies/mailwearer/leatherwearer are greedy little bastards that take the game to seriously.

Okay, I have to butt in :D
I see the problem, the one that was the original one, not the one that became a huge whine over Paladins rolling on everything. (Don't flame me yet!)
Yes, it can be frustrating, to see an item you wanted drop and it just get's DE. But if you know you want it, and you even state that it finally dropped, means you know the item drops from that instance. Then politely say at the start of the run, "Hello, I really want X-Item, but I can't roll need on it, so if it drops and no one needs it, can you please pass instead of hitting DE?"
Yes, you might get morons who does it anyways, but the other way around, you could still get morons needing on it too.
And second, I LOVE the system! Seeing Paladins and Druids go /nerdrage over them not getting SP mail and cloth gear makes me a very happy panda! I've spent most of TBC and alot of WTLK with my head firmly planted at my desk, after losing god knows how many SP cloth items to both Druids, Shamans and Paladins. So I heart new system! Yes, it's mean and petty, but dear lord it feels good! Don't change a thing!
Hello, I'm Nilla, and I'm a Mage!
