You're never going to convince me that such rampant availability of cocaine and anything else in that vein is anything but insane, but that's entirely personal opinion. I had two friends go to jail over this, and I was also witness to a number of current inmates who talked about their drug use and the effects it had on them. My brother filmed them as part of a documentary on the inmates at the prison near his school. Based on their self-assessment of their behavior and the subsequent crimes they were in the pen for, my personal conclusion is that drugs such as heroin and cocaine are destructive to functional logic. I find their use asinine.
But, again, my opinion.
I think....
I find...
I saw...
That's all great.
Now tell me why your opinion should be law?
The issue is not whether drugs are bad for you or not. The issue is whether the government has any business regulating what a consenting adult chooses to put in his body.

What? Of course it is, being that the number one justification is that "weed are teh eet ur brainz," which we pretty much know is false.
I see your point, but just saying that it's not relevant is stupid.

No the issue is not whether drugs are bad for you. Why? Because everyone knows they are. And if you don't, you're stupid or uniformed. It may not be as bad as X, or as bad as Y, but it's still bad for you. Presenting justifications that they are indeed bad is not relevant. The issue is that, despite them being bad for you, does the government have a right to regulate how an individual freely chooses to use them.

Well, the thing is, some drugs, especially Marijuana are not always bad. In the same way alcohol isn't always bad, because if you drink it without taking excess it is known to calm you down and reduce risk of a heart attack. Marijuana can apply similar affects, as well as things such as being excellent medication for depression.
Even for recreational use, the good often outweighs the bad. I don't mind taking a month off my life to make the rest much more fun.

"Not
always
bad" is a very misleading way of saying it. The negative effects of drug use are always present. Can it be used for good things too? Yes, but the negative effects are still just as present.
But that is not the issue.
No one cares. Riding a roller-coaster is dangerous too. No one's stopping you.
