normally the spec is
this,
which can be modified in coordination with your SP, haste, and spirit.
you may choose to spend 5 points on
Starlight Wrath
or
Genesis
, or both, according to your playing style.
you may choose to lower or ignore
Brambles
, for
Vengeance
or
Celestial Focus
IF
you think you are skilled in survival and can avoid being hit; therefore concentrating on the damaging role of the spec more.
I wouldn't ignore
Moonglow
as the spec is already consuming much mana. an OOM caster is a dead caster in most cases.
Lunar Guidance
is essential to this spec and would be foolish to ignore it.
Improved Insect Swarm
is not valuable for this spec as it is more of a pve raiding moonkin talent.
I would not recommend spending on
Improved Moonfire
as there are better options.
Nature's Reach
is a MUST as you will really need that tiny little range boost for
Cyclone
in arena so many times.
Nature's Grace
wouldn't be a good choice as mostly you will be using instant casts, which is the most powerful specialty of this spec imo. (Moonfire, Insect Swarm, Rejuvenation, Lifebloom) You may be using that little 3 seconds boost for some instants mostly; as you will not always find time to stop and cast in the arena where movement, changing your place, LoS are all critically important.
You don't really need
Furor
in this build, which should be replaced with
Nature's Focus.
I am not an überpro but in my opinion, YES it is still a very valid pvp spec for arena. Actually it is still the most preferred one in
2v2.
And for BG's, you can even finish them without a single death when played right.

Alright two things.
Get rid of the Improved Insect Swarm if you aren't going to take Vengeance and also GET NATURAL PERFECTION! Reduced damage? Yah who doesn't want that?
You don't NEED furor as stated above, but its sometimes nice to go cat form build up 4 or 5 combo points for a later time, and when you guys decide its lockdown time, you can just maim, cyclone 3x, bash. So it's nice sometimes but kinda meh overall if you aren't going to be using it to its full potential.

I am currently using a resto spec for pvp/bgs/heroics, coupled with the t9 healing idol for extra SP. It looks like
This (19/0/54)
.
In caster form in my healing gear (t9) I have both Nourish and Wrath available at 1.09 seconds, +234 SP for keeping Rejuv up from the idol. In pvp gear, both sit at 1.3sec casts dropping to 1.09 when NG procs. 3 DKs couldn't kill me in WG today in caster form, it took a rogue to stun me for them to eventually do it. In DTK which I did as my random daily, I came out of the instance with recount showing I did 2k heals and 2k dmg for overall data.
13% haste from GotEM and Celestial Focus is a huge amount to pass up. Especially given how little, if any there is on our pvp gear.
This might be fun for a while in BG's or WG, but fails badly in 2v2.
It is totally unacceptable to skip
Nature's Swiftness
in
any
PvP environment. This is ignoring an
instant
Cyclone
on the enemy when you need a CC on them so bad, or an
instant
Healing Touch
when you are in danger.
Besides, the
24/0/47
is mostly a
HoT&DoT
PvP character, rather than speed-casting. The new GotEM is more like a "spam nourish on the tank" talent.
The
cost
of that 13% haste from GotEM and CF is:
75%
thorns and roots damage.
15%
chance of 3 seconds daze to the enemy chasing behind you.
A damaging talent
which can be cast on your enemy
even if they are behind
you.
Lowering your enemy's melee hit rating by
3%
or preferably damaging them for 30% more when
glyphed
.
9%
mana cost reduction, for your most important spells (Wrath, Rejuvenation, Regrowth, Moonfire, Nourish)
Minimum 100 Spell power
which is a HUGE amount if you think about all of those HoT&DoT's cast during the fight.
6%
more range for Cyclone, Wrath and Moonfire.
- Let me add that ignoring Nature's Perfection is a deadly mistake in arena:
3%
crit chance on all spells.
12%
damage reduction if critted, for 8 seconds.
When GotEM got redesigned i wanted to give it a try. But the haste amount does
not
cover for all of these.
What listed above are just life or death in PvP. Too critical in the arena and too much to cover with only haste.

No offense but I was just stating known facts.. I dont see why you try to prove each of them wrong by writing some theory next to every single one of them, to be honest. But my friend if you manage to reach a 2v2 rating higher than 1000 with these theories, I am wrong.
