hi i have recently changed mains from a druid to a warlock.
currently i am deep destro (cookie cutter) and providing a decent amount of damage.
i fancy a change of flavour however and am considering either going affliction or demo.
i have read the stickies and know myself that destro > affliction > demo for raiding, and the stickies are dated from 3.1.2 and with the eve of 3.3 around the corner i was just wondering about the viability of demo for raiding and just how much of a dps loss i would be suffering.
p.s. i am wearing 2 parts tier9 (shoulders and gloves) the rest of my gear is the conquest buyable gear.

to be clear, the extra damage that we see destro and affliction locks do in the simcraft output is assuming they have the best raid buffs available, including demonic pact from a demo warlock.
the damage we see demo achieve is assuming that is
the
buffing demo warlock.
so, if destro and aff don't have the buff in your raid then they'll be doing about the same damage as a demo lock who does have the buff. hence, your personal dps, should you switch, will remain very similar while your raid's dps will be increased.
a couple of points though, demo is the toughest spec to play well. to achieve the numbers that simcraft shows you have to be REALLY on the ball and use cooldowns perfectly. it's very easy to mess up. also, to bring the amazing DP buff you need to be sporting at least 4k sp with raid buffs. at 2pcT9 i'm guessing you're not there yet.
