Set your sound default settings to your speakers, but make sure your headphones are already plugged in so it won't automatically switch over....in vent, go to setup and where it says output, select your headphones. This will only route the sound from vent to the headphones.

Your best option would be to get a pair of USB headphones. Windows will treat it as a separate sound device so you'll be able to do what Modibybob and westrock2000 suggest.
With regular headphones I don't believe you'll be able to do it.

My computer certainly recognizes a headset plugged into 3.5mm jacks in the front panel as a separate device. Can't see why it wouldn't work for others.
