Hunters are lucky if I heal them...let alone their stupid pets.
(chain heal does it anyway)

well one of the nicest people in my guild is a hunter. His hog is always there. Do I heal his pet.
HEY if I am trying to keep up a tank or a raid the last thing I look at is a pet. He knows that and so does anyone else. If I am not doing anything I will heal him but other than that I never look at the pets.
But we have a couple of loot !@#$%s that I always heal the pet and say whoops :)

Also, I think #98 on that Healing Priority is the Boss. ;-)
Actually the boss is # 56. #55 is random upholstry and #57 are the critters.

The only time I advocate healing on pets, as both a warlock and a healer, is for Demonic Pact Felguards.
When the pet is a large chunk of the owners DPS, and providing a raid buff, then it's worth it.
EDIT: And odds are its AoE damage thats been taken anyway, rather than a pulled aggro.

Don't have a pet frame on my UI. If I don't see players in need of healing, I'll throw a flame shock or something on the boss, if mana allows. Pets live off of scraps - chain heal jumps, AA procs.

I heal pets as a holy paladin in heroics. It's not a big deal either way but as everyone has said, they're far down the priority list . That said, if I have to heal your pet, you're doing something wrong. I have an 80 hunter and I know when my pet dies, then I've mismanaged him. For the hunter who keeps saying "I just don't understand why a healer won't..." I'd suggest you play a healer and then maybe you'll understand why a healer doesn't have the time/resources to heal your pet.

Pets do show on Grid by the way.
I do heal pets, but only if I have the mana to spare and nobody else to heal. Don't expect me to save your pet when the tank is dying.
