Amusing, related incident that happened to me a few days ago.
I thought it was funny, you don't have to :P
Laundry day cometh and a
t-shirt was drying on the radiator. I was wearing
this when the nice man with the appointment I'd forgotten about came to talk to me about buying my spankin' new windows. I hadn't bothered with my hair that day, so I jammed my
hat on quickly.
He kept flicking glances at my PC, which happened to be displaying a screensaver composed of various silly WoW raiding/bug screenshots, on top of which sits my
bestest gaming buddy. While we were chatting my sister decided to come and visit and wandered in wearing
this.
I chatted to the nice window-man for about 45 mins before he had to ask about my freaky little computer buddy. I let him handle my murloc and he thought it was awesome, if a bit...well, weird :P
I also have my horde crest keychain which is attached to one of my belt loops (need something to attach my till-key to at work), and a few other t-shirts/hoodies (
magic missiles,
Jesus,
Yaaarrn,
dice are a few. I have more). I also have my horde crest wallet and
Edward t-shirt on order for christmas.
I linked everything off Jinx because I'm lazy, and most of my gamer-y pieces were gifts so I have no idea where half of them came from. I'm "hard to buy for" apparently, so my friends/family just wimp out and get me this stuff. It's cool...they know I really don't care what Mr Non-gamer thinks of me when he walks past in the street. Mr Non-gamer is probably more interested in the fact two chicks are kissing in the middle of town than he is in deciphering "TANKS. You're welcome", tbh :P
I wear what I wanna wear (although the flourescent green cargo pants+orange t-shirt combo have been firmly voted off the island by the gf...probably for the best) and I have no interest in negative opinions on the matter :)
