So i was wondering why not wound OH and deadly MH, wount we get more procs from wound being on OH?
No, you would get more procs from your MH.
Since poison applications are now independent of the speed of the weapon, poisons placed on MH or OH are applied equally by auto-attacks.
However, special attacks such as Sinister Strike and Hemorrhage apply your MH's poison, so the MH poison is used overall more than your OH.
Therefore, if your OH applies poison often enough to keep Deadly up with 5 charges, it makes sense to apply the Would or Instant to your MH to get more applications and damage without sacrificing any uptime on the 5-charge Deadly.

to be even more detailed, deadly poison does NOT have a ppm mechanic. it's a flat % to proc, so faster the weapon, more the procs. Thus, DP goes on the OH.
istant and wound have a ppm mechanic. so weapon speed doesn't matter, but the special attacks (which are done with MH weapon except mutilate) have a chance to proc poisons in addition to the normal proc. so istant/wound goes on the MH.

Actually the weapon speed DOES matter with PPM. 2.6 weapon will have more procs than a 1.4 weapon.

A 2.6 and 1.4 speed weapon will both have the poison proc rate adjusted to their weapon speed so that they all achieve equal number of poison procs over a period of time. The only reason a 2.6 weapon will proc more poisons is the fact that you're using it in the main hand and your specials proc poisons in addition to white hits.

Not sure if this is what you were implying but haste doesn't reduce the proc chance of poisons.

Nice thought there. I meant that Haste increases PPM but of course that means that there will be more attacks with same old initial proc chance per given time unit. Thanks for correcting.
My *misquote* on AlphaQ should probably only include the "wound PPM" value

So to sum up so far:
1) Wound Poison desired on mainhand for more procs from special attacks.
2) Wound Poison has PPM, so a slow mainhand is desired for overall more procs from special attacks (auto-attack procs are same regardless of PPM).
3) Deadly Poison desired on offhand since OH poison is not used in one-handed special attacks.
4) Deadly Poison does NOT have PPM, so a faster offhand is desired for better DP application.
Put Wound Poison on a slow mainhand weapon and Deadly Poison on a fast offhand weapon.
