to be totally fair, despite the number of terrible specs each class has, each class also have atleast 1 (some say 2)
viable
(as in you can actually do well in Arena) spec in PvP
However Ret Paladins and DK's still do have a certain edge.
But let me tell you in advance, unlike BC, gear difference is much more noticeable in WOTLK. So if you're going to play casual, might as well roll anything because you're going to suck balls regardless of how well you button mash buttons 1,2,3.

Overhaul
Paladins are a very strong class, and has had many OP moments, from ret in Wotlk release, holy around Wotlk release, and most recently prot as both normal prot and the holy/prot build as up to 3.2.2.
They do require skill to play, but don't have a lot of keys to mash. It is more of timing abilities and knowing when to use them. Paladins can cleanse a target and themselves, making them difficult to dot for any class. Blood DKs are probably one of the hardest classes to beat 1v1, but with cleanse, a paladin can destroy their ability to self-heal.
As of right now, prot paladins are probably one of the hardest classes to beat, but blizzard has been working on balancing them. A prot paladin also requires gear that you can only get from heroics and raids, since there is no PvP tanking gear you will be able to use.

Say no more. I maybe forgot to mention that you'll probably end up pulling your hair out as a warlock, when you meet rogues.
Everyone hates rogues..... Not just warlocks.
This explains it quite simply.
Rogues are FREAKING SWEET. Here is a checklist for rogue PvP:
Make theme music. Like Kronk of Emperors New Groove.
Get Poison
Sneak sneak sneak
Find clothy/low lvl person
AMBUSH
Look 5silver from body
Hide
Torment FC's in WSG by sapping one then moving away. They go nuts, do it over n over /cackle
They are FUN
Too much control. Every, and I mean EVERY time I get sapped, I feel as if a minute of my life has just been wasted. It makes me even more mad when he opens and has 14k hp vs my ret's 25k..... /facepalm /pullhair /buyjustformen
