Um...Rank; Nozdormu didn't bless Teldrassil, that was only Alexstraza and Ysera at the end of Stormrage; the Night Elves didn't get their immortality back; Wolfheart is very very clear on that point.
ohh :P
sorry, I kinda skiped Stormrage and Wolfheart (not a really big fan of knaak, his books make me snooze)

/shake head Should read them Rank.
=( but they make me snore...... how can I read them if I'm asleep?
I was barely able to go through Day of the Dragon, and I pretty much forced myself to read it because I wanted to get my lore about Deathwing right before cataclysm........

This question is not about lore but better I ask here.
I am confused about role-playing. I just got basic idea about role-playing from word itself. I wanna try it to explore one the game aspect. My basic questions are in terms of noob role-player
What is role-playing?
What you guys do in role-playing?
How to start role-playing as newcomer?
What is requirements of roleplaying? Positive and negative stuff.
Is there any level of role-playing like basic, advance, pro and so on. We have different types in PvP and PvE players.
How do you role-play in some of threads in this section?

To me: taking a character of your creation and putting yourself in his or her shoes to live out events through their eyes.
What you guys do in role-playing?
We either set up events or let them develop naturally towards an overlaying goal of the story for that particular RP.
How to start role-playing as newcomer?
Get a character, make sure said character is not overpowered or a Mary Sue, and try to join. We welcome newccomers and any problems with your style that we can see we'll try and call out quickly.
What is requirements of roleplaying? Positive and negative stuff.
A healthy imagineation, the ability to type, the will to try and get along with the other RPs (if not nessescarily their characters), and your soul.

In-game, yes. You have the guys who don't roleplay on one spectrum, and the guys that go "thou and thee" on the other, with moderations and variation sprinkled in between. Around here we're one of those moderation, we take it seriously but not too seriously.
How do you role-play in some of threads in this section?
See answer for "How to start role-playing as newcomer?".
The basic set up we use, though, is
Character:
Morec, House of Rivendare
Location: Winterspring
Race: Forsaken
Gender: Male
Class: Death Knight
Description:
Blah blah blah.
With only Name and location being used after the introductory pannel for each character. Our posts are also typical third-person he said she said-style with thoughts being italicized and regular quotes in (and this I don't understand wy) qutation marks.

uff I'm so relieved that Thrall wasn't apointed as the new earth-warder.
I'm not kidding when I say that I would had seriously contemplated moving away from wow if that was the case, or at the very least it would had been the first step to push me away from the game.
I actually am starting to think they made the best move on this because seriously, SOMEONE had to be named earth-warder, and with Wrathion's quest being precisely so he can get his freedom, it was unlikely he'd step up, any other dragon (from a different flight) would had felt weird, and a mortal being ascended to aspect would had been a nail on warcraft's coffin.
So the best solution was really to do away with the aspects. When we get down to it, the very reason they were created in the first place was to protect the world, and yet more often than not they've placed the world in danger either inadvertently or on purpose.
Malygos = tried to kill azeroth
Neltharion = tried to kill azeroth
Ysera = A corruptive force captured her and her brood and then the nightmare almost destroyed azeroth
Nozdormu = himself from an alternate timeline tried to undo history.
Alextrazsa = via deception and blackmail she was forced to also try to destroy the world in the second war........
More often than not, it was always up to the mortals to fix whatever problems assault azeroth, after all it was the mortals who held the line on the AQ war, it was the mortals who held the line on the sunwell, it was the mortals who vanquished the lich king, and while the aspects helped considerably, it was also the mortals who overthrew deathwing.
so much like what medivh said at the end of war3, the world doesn't need Aspects anymore to keep watch over them.
I do hope however that our friendly dragons still lend a hand from time to time (I just love alextrazsa =D her voice-actress in cataclysm really hit the spot)

I think Malygos really is an exception. His irrational fear and paranoia for mortal magic made him believe that hoarding all magic would be the long term solution for the safety of Azeroth. I'd be tempted to agree with him, or at least see where he's coming from, giving what happened the last time mortals tampered freely with
magic
.
But I'm having mixed feelings about this ending. So the Aspect's true purpose was to destroy Deathwing, one of their own? And now what? Since their 'ancient power' has been expended, what will that entail for the Emerald Dream and the Caverns of Time? Do Nozdormu and Ysera no longer have complete dominion over those realms and if so, what will that mean for future invasions? The Hour of Twilight might have been stopped, but the Old Gods are still a threat, methinks.

they aren't aspects anymore, but that hardly means they are 100% de-powered.
after all, nozdormu was absent for almost a full decade and yet his brood still maintained and protected the caverns of time just fine.
Same can be said about the Dream.
The cataclysm ending just means that the Dragon Aspects are no longer the "Deus Ex Machina" problem-solvers they used to be. No longer is the world's safety their responsibility.

While the changes are not that major, this revised 4.3 trailer is epic.

there is one incongruence I'm noticing with MoP
They've stated that the very reason MoP wont feature a main bad guy on the cover is because the main enemy is war itself and how the entire thing will focus on the war of the alliance and horde.......
good so far but........
out of all the revealed instances and raids, not one of them has this on the concept.
ya know what would suck? that there is no 5man where we fight the oposite faction. that there is no raid where we fight the oposite faction.
6 out of 9 instances revealed and in all of them the enemy is either an old one recycled (scarlet monastery and scholo) or a new one that has nothing to do with the red vs blue war (Sha, mantid, ect)
I'm hoping blizz does end up adding instances and raids where they actually make us fight the oposite team, like....
A raid that is a fortress in a strategic place, that both the alliance and horde covet, if you enter that raid as alliance, all the trash are horde troops and all the bosses are horde generals, and if you enter as a horde player, all the trash is alliance soldiers and all the bosses are alliance generals.
otherwise this whole gig of "war is the main bad-guy" wont make it past the blizzcon announcement. Because neither the trailer, nor the currently announced PVE content portray any sort of war at all.
