Right now there isn't an explanation for the "return" of Zul'Aman, and probably Blizzard just it will be cool to revamped both of the oldest troll instances but we may will know more when Heroic Zul'Aman opens up in the PTR.

Quick question, is Kirtonos the Herald an undead human able to transform into a gargoyle or a gargoyle able to transform into an undead human?

Yeah, I forgot about Zul'Farrak but probably it was considered by Blizzard because it was already a 5-man.

I got the feeling he was neither. He seems to only be using those models due to Blizz's laziness.
Though, if I had to pick. Undead human able to transform into a Gargoyle.
Furthermore, what is the non-undead equivelent of a Gargoyle anyway? One of the wierdest things that has bugged me since I first saw them in Ghostlands.

I always liked to think that Kirtonos was an early interpretation of a San'layn. If he is, though, Blizzard decided not to change his model to refelect that.

This is something that caught my attention too, ever since WC3 they've been questionable in their existence, they took holy light damage and death coil healing but they turned to stone and still left you going WTH are they?
Possibly something similar to the Obsidean Destroyers and Statues used by the Scourge as well. That would explain the appearence of one in the use of the Twilight's Hammer during their time in Silithus.

Besides the new Dragonhawk mount? That alone will have me in there every single day lol.
I meant more as in lore/mechanics-wise.
Also, MMO-Champion says that the Amani Dragonhawk is supposed to be a WoW TCG reward, so I wouldn't get my hopes up just yet.
Yes.....like I'm going to take anything MMOC says seriously......

I just found this on the official
forums
.
We'll have more information to share on the return of Zul'Aman and Zul'Gurub soon. But for now I'll say this: there is a center of troll civilization yet to be seen in World of Warcraft. There was once an ancient empire of troll tribes united. Zul'Aman and Zul'Gurub becoming key points of interest in Cataclysm plays into this. Perhaps something has happened to once again call for the unity of the disaffected tribes. Perhaps a certain tribe with allegiances elsewhere sees this as a very bad thing. ;)
So what could this mean? Will we see Zandalar? Troll King Rastakhan perhaps?
And the tribes not liking this is possibly the Darkspears and Revantusks, who are Horde and mostly Horde.
This makes me excited! Proto-Night Elves Blizzard, I'm telling you.

What we've seen of Zul'Aman is actually only a tiny piece; there are still more Warlords out there, the Temple of the Serpent Goddess and all the rest still to go for the Amani.

Hm, maybe he is referring to
Zuldazar
, the capital of the isle of Zandalar.

True, though I doubt they meant 'more Zul 'Aman' with this. The united Troll Empire was the Zandalar Empire, IIRC, before they split off into the Amani and Gurubashi empires.
So my money's on a troll unification, which conflicts with the Darkspear's (and by extension, the Revantusk's) duty to the Horde.
Or even, a trollclysm! :o
Um, well, except for the fact that the troll empires have been fighting for ages, united against the Aqir, squashed the bugs, then went right back to fighting among themselves; the Zandalar broke away, the Night Elves rose up and eradicated the Empires, shattering them even more, the Sundering hit, split the tribes up across the new world....and the trolls still fought among themselves; the Gurubashi, declaring those who would become the Darkspear to be weak, cast them out of the jungles, and up north, after the Second War, the Raventusk did the same.
I still think we're going to run into Ula'tek and find out she has some connection to the Northeast Star Point Old God.

/shrug They may convene, but the rest of the time, the trolls fight each other; if any race in the Azeroth universe can be called actual racists it would be the Trolls....they also win for the most xenophobic race on the planet, with pre-WC3 Night Elves used to come in second.
I thought that the shrine of Ula'tek and Zul'Aman(in game) were nearly analogous to each other, since it is a pretty big town we're raiding in BC, and I doubt Zul'Jin would settle for anything less.Don't forget there is that second set of giant gates in Eversong Woods; pretty much all of the land to the east of the BE lands is the actual Amani empire. We raided a major temple at most in BC; and Zul'jin, while the over all leader, still has 2 other Warlords under him, plus the actual High Priest of Ula'Tek and her Temple somewhere deep in the forest. There is still more Forest Troll out there to explore and learn about.
