But, if you want alive heroes, Turaylon.
Turalyon vanished.
He's become Space Turalyon. At this point, we're more likely to see him in Starcraft than WoW.
He's Jimmy Raynor.

Turalyon vanished.
True, but Missing in Action, for now, means he has a chance of being alive
So? He's still gone and not being a hero anymore. Tyrande got nerfed from being an iron-hard no-nonsense elf into standing around Darnassus, Mal turned neutral, Magni @#$%ing got
turned into diamond
, Varian's a rage-a-holic, Tirion went neutral, Darion went neutral, Alexandros died, Velen has had almost no role, and was easily overshadowed by the Blood Elves, Crowley is apparently a pebble next to saurfang
Kael'thas went from an awesome savior, like Thrall, to becoming a cheap raid boss, Arthas turned evil and Maeiv was a ^&*!@ anyways. Antonidas died, Jaina for all intents and purposes is neutral and Keeshan is apparently a cheap cop-out of Rambo.
Only high point of Wrath was Muradin coming back. He's my favorite hero.

Kael'thas went from an awesome savior, like Thrall, to becoming a cheap raid bossThat's only partially true; compared to Illidan and Vashj, at least Kael had an actual 'plan' for his people and his own destiny. Seriously, set back jokes aside, he's one of the 'best' of the anti-villains/villains in the Warcraft universe, better then Arthas/Lich King after the joke Wrath turned that ex-threat into.

Meh. They needed a reason to kill him, so he went Legion power mad instead of actually an anti-villain.
It was like Malygos but more galling to me.

Again, Kael's plan:
Step 1. Steal a Naaru to keep his people fed and content.
Step 2. Set up the Mana Forges all across the most magically rich area of Outland.
Step 2.5. Turn on the Mana forges, suck all that free magic out of the land, draining it down, and weakening the remnants of the land.
Step 3. Shunt all that power into the Tempest Keep to store it, charge up the plane shift engines, and prepare it for his people.
Step 4. Once the Keep is full, plane shift to Azeroth, becoming the conquering hero....and you know, completely eradicating Outland in the backlash as Netherstorm is destroyed, which would start up a chain reaction, getting rid of Illidan, Vashj, and the Naaru all in one go to keep anyone from calling him to count for his actions.
Step 5. Profit as he becomes a hero, with enough power to re-energize his people, lead them on a war to stomp out the ones who destroyed his kingdom, and killed his father.
Plan is derailed when he is kicked out of the Keep, so, new plan is needed.
Step 1. Pretend to fall under the Legion's control.
Step 2. Give over Mu'ru to the Legion at the Sunwell.
Step 3. Summon Kil'jaeden.
Step 4. Plot out a way to transform all of the Legion into living batteries for his people.
Step 5. Profit, and repeat the original step 5.
Yes he dies again, to a large number of jokes, but compared to the villains of Vanilla, BC and even Wrath, at least he was thinking ahead. And he falls under anti-villain because every single thing he did was for his people.

Keeshan is apparently a cheap cop-out of Rambo.
OJO, I never said cheap, but yes, he is a direct expy of rambo down to his apereance, just let the
Images
speak for
themselves
in reality there is nothing wrong with expys but even the plot of the entire quest-chain seems directly taken from several Rambo Movies (including his fight with Big Earl on an underground fight club, and the fact that Keeshan much like rambo aint a melee guy and prefers to use big guns from a distance, and both yell AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH while firing an M60 in full auto)
also there are many awesome alliance heroes, such as Uther, Lothar, Antonidas, Turalyon, Muradin, Malfurion, ect.
so yhea, I like keeshan (again I loved that entire zone and have done it 3 times simply because it's AWESOME) but unlike the gob squad, all his fame he owes his fame to someone else.
as a consolation prize, the Bravo Company gets more "Screen Time" than the Gob squad who unfortunately only show up for a slight section of azshara, and an even smaller section of Twilight Highlands =/
Only high point of Wrath was Muradin coming back. He's my favorite hero.
quite posibly the BEST retcon blizz has ever done, Muradin shoud had never died in warcraft 3.

Every single one, except Muradin, are either neutral or dead at this point. That's the main reason why I'm so pissed.

Where's the question marks?

Wasn't going for the meme as the plan would have worked except for those meddlesome adventures. I'm actually a fan of Kael since I've learned the full extent of his plans; I used to just see him as a creepy cradle robber, but that has changed.

I agree, I used to love Malfurion, now I hate him. His model ruined the chance of salvaging any hope too... Muradin has become a good char though, and I think Tyrande still has a slight possibility of being redeemed. It involves a lot of starfall. XDDon't forget Kurdran, he's still badass as hell. Danath Trollbane ain't no pushover either.
And Saurfang is retired, Cairne is dead, Thrall is neutral, and Drek'thar is senile. You're not the only one losing heroes.

What exactly is wrong with Tyrande? She is the only Night Elf I've ever liked. Are you guys saying she is going down the drain too?

Skreeran
Eh, pretty much, at least in Lore. She was pretty good in Warcraft 3, but Knaak's interpretation was a Twilightized version of her where she was Malfurion's teenage girlfriend. Even in Stormrage she ended up being a softy damsel-in-distress. Perhaps Adams will disagree with me on that, but Knaak's books are canon, and with hardly any action from her in WoW, it seems like she could be headed toward the drain. If they gave her some in-game moments of independent-badass-b*tch, like she was in Warcraft 3, she might
get better

ejem, what?
Uther isn't neutral, neither is lothar, neither is antonidas, and Turalyon, muradin, and malfurion are neither neutral, nor dead.
all the above mentioned heroes are 100% alliance, and half of them are alive.
the horde isn't inmune to the bad hero syndrome, most of the horde heroes are also dead (Grom, Doomhammer, Cairne, Sen'jin) and quite a lot of them went bad ( Bladefist, Sauranok, ect)
a hero being dead doesn't diminish his heroism, and in fact many BECOME heroes precicely for sacrificing their lives for the greater good.
it is true though that most alliance heroes have gone neutral (wich is why I didn't mentioned people like Jaina, or Tirion for example)

lorewise, what is the population of draenei that survived the orc attempted genocide and crashed onto azeroth via the exodar?
does anyone know the total population? rise of the horde pretty much said according to velen that after they fleed into zangarmarsh there were only a few hundred survivors.
im wondering what their population is, do they atleast have a decent population in the thousands?
90% of their population was wiped out in the Draenor War, and when the Exodar was sent to Azeroth, it had 60% or so of the new population on it.

Honestly, he pretty much decided to %^&* over his people as shown by the attack on Silvermoon. He was pretty far along the deep end at that point. He had decent motives at the beginning, but those swiftly were thrown out the window.Even that was part of his revised plan; the one that would have turned the Legion into Mana Batteries for the Blood Elves. Not saying he wasn't evil, but compared to Vashj, Illidan and even Lich King(Wrath) Kael was the better villain...plus, unlike his 'fearless leader', Kael fought Arthas to a stand still at the top of the World, and after a well placed taunt, escaped unscathed, while Emo-King ended up with a nice pair of scars across his chest.
