Edit: Becuase revealed truth says this "Thou shalt not murder." Everything else you have added on is semantical justification for or against various acts.
No I've added nothing. By limiting it to humans, you're the one adding something.
You'll have to quote where I said that... Don't remember saying that... Nope.. don't think I did....

Then why are you arguing with me?

When then Mytie, how would you finish this? Thou shalt not murder... what? What shalt thou not murder?

please read my comment about the crusades , do you justify it?
I don't justify any killing...I already said, God's the only one who can do that.

Then why are you arguing with me?
Just because I don't disagree with you on a fundamental level, doesn't mean I agree with your methods of arriving to your conclusions.

You are asking me to complete God's words? I think he did a perfectly fine job himself. I don't think anyone needs to add to the word of God, not even the pope.

What does thou shalt not murder actually instruct then?

My argument: 'Thou shall not murder' is
indefinite
, therefore we cannot apply it to particular species or being but we have to apply it
indefinitely
.
Your argument: That's adding something.
What is it adding? The whole reason I interpret it as such is so as
not
to add anything.

Okay rephrased do you believe god justified the crusades?
As far as I know, I have no doctrinal evidence that he did or did not, so I can still make no judgment.

See, why don't you use this logic when it actually comes to religion itself. If you don't have evidence, you don't decide one way or the other.
Otherwise you have people saying they have "faith" that its alright for them to blow themselves up - that just isn't acceptable.

Thou shalt not Retzach. Take a look at that word, and how it is used in Hebrew, then try to explain how you could possibly apply it to animals. You'll quickly learn that it is applied to the premediated killing of people or person. Not ol Betsy, or the fern in my garden.

I'm reading the wikipedia article and it sounds like its a game, oh, you can go seek revenge on someone who performed retzach for a certain period of time, and then after that period its no longer fair game. lol

i have a question. *raise hand*
is the bible even reliable from a historical point of view?
Some of it has archeological evidence to back it up. Its sort of like most ancient myths - it has some basis in reality, and then it was expanded or changed to make a point.
mediator why do you believe all Muslims are zealots?
I don't. I think that those who believe its acceptable to kill people if they believe a god told them to are zealots. If all Muslims really believe that its acceptable to attempt to kill me if they believe their god told them to, yes, they are all zealots.

My lexicon says 'dash to pieces' --> 'kill'
I don't see any human in there. And even if it
could
mean human in cases, you'd still be interpreting something that's not stated.
