I was just reminded... the auto-kick system is rather unforgiving to new BG players. Wouldn't you say that a warning window (similar to the one you get when entering a "saved" instance), with 10-15 seconds duration, telling the player who typed /AFK that AFKing in Battlegrounds will result in the player's removal from the said Battleground? Of course, there would be an option to enable/disable this from the Interface Menu.

That's the sole reason people joke with new players via /e emotes. If that option was in fact introduced, such kind of trolling would cease. However, it's not a game-breaking issue and I doubt that it will be adressed.

I'm sure someone will flame me for this, but generally, wouldn't the people who fall for that be the kind of people you wouldn't necessarily want in a BG?
I mean, say an opposing faction member says they've got a bug on them, and they're just getting it off? What happens then?
On another note, yeah that's actually a good idea, hahaha.
unless it was some one who didnt know what /afk does- I gotta say i was in my 40s before i figured it out for myself.

They might just be new. Do you remember your first BG? Did you know what was going on? It's a learning experience.Getting booted is also a learning experience :p I mean, it's not as if there were serious consequences, it's a bit of a letdown to not be able to go back for 15min, but i'd say that it does the job of teaching things.
Also, such things mostly happen in lvl 80 bgs, not in the levelling ones.

They might just be new. Do you remember your first BG? Did you know what was going on? It's a learning experience. That being said - it's still funny as hell (and they learn a quick lesson too).
And they're probably new to the game, getting a picture on how unfriendly the wow-community is.

If they quit a game because of an unfriendly player, then they probably shouldn't be doing anything that involves interaction with other people period. People are mean - get over it.
Not everyone.
Just the most vocal people.
Theres a correlation between actual popularity and meanness.
