All opinions aside, Laihendi just thinks it's ironic that his grandparents on medicare are opposed to anyone else getting socialized medicine.

I don't know what America heard about the NHS, but despite the waiting lists, it works for most.
Of course, there will always be flaws in something, and there are some sick rare cases, but that's the case anywhere.
Nationalised Health care has helped me out a lot. I'd say, all in all, if I didn't have a NHS, I'd be about £50,000 poorer. At least. They have helped me through injuries, and all sorts of things.

The waiting lists sound like a good thing... wouldn't they mean that everyone is being treated equally? So you can't just go... "Hey look, I have money! Me first!".

Well, it can leave some people in the lurch for a few weeks. But, better than paying 20k for it, as a lot of the time the staff are friendly and helpful. As I say, the horror stories are a minority.
Basically, there is still a sort of tiered system, it's just that the deciding factor is not your disposable income.

So nalukai, moral of the story is that you shouldn't be a dumbass if you don't have insurance, not that you need the rest of the country to cover your ass because you're stupid. I hope breaking your leg hurt like hell, and I hope that you're screwed economically because of your bad credit for the rest of your life.
Hahaha yes, who cares about poor people? Scum of the earth I say. What's that you ask? Why, no, I've never been in a situation where my household earns less than 30k a year. Why do you ask?

Pffft, duh. What do poor people deserve? They're poor for Christs sake! They don't DESERVE health care.
When a wantz ma pillz a take ma pillz!
Health Care for me, summed up in one sentence.
"O no! My leg, arm, and ribs are broken! I should get medical treatment! But wait... no, wait! I can't get into that ambulance; it'll destroy my credit score! I can't afford health care!"
Which is exactly why I'm glad I'm English.
