its too early to say 'the entire nation of Kul Tiras hates the new Horde!" But, if he's anything like Jaina, and we don't know as he wasn't mention much, he could join with her over the Alliance and go Neutral.
And if he is anything like Daelin? :P
Same as above.
Never said it wouldn't be heh.

Well in the RPG books, Theramore is a neutral port; a place where Horde and Alliance can go. So, if all her people did hate that, they would have done something to over throw it along while ago.
This was retconned. Heck, it might not have ever been canon considering Metzen doesn't consider everything in the RPG books canon.

She's a fool. She didn't start out as one, though. At first, she seemed intelligent enough. After a little coaxing, she warmed to the idea of the Horde not being all bad. And for a while, it was good. Things seemed to be on the up and up.
Then WoW happened.
The Horde has, in the course of the game's 6 year run (which after adding the 4 year difference between TFT and Vanilla, makes a full decade), quite effectively burned and urinated on the things she and Thrall helped make.
But while the Horde burned cities
, made a plague,
desecrated sacred lands, and all around went back to their old ways
, Jaina did NOTHING. She watched silently as treaties were being ignored. She watched as not only citizens of Theramore died, but citizens of the Alliance. If she couldn't even stand up for her own people, how can you call her a good leader?
Worst of all though, when the moment of reckoning finally came. When the forces of the Alliance met up with the forces of the Horde in the guts of Lordearon, what did she do? She didn't hold Thrall accountable for his negligence. She didn't attempt to get an explanation for the corpse-littered Apothecarium. She cried, and hit a reset button.
I sincerely hope her days are numbered, because anybody that monumentally stupid does not deserve to sit in a position of power.
wtf are you going on about. The new horde hasn't Burn cities or desecrated sacred lands. And those she faught against were in league with her orc hating father who was in invader. In that sense she saved many of her people in siding with Thrall against her father and his followers, it prevented more bloodshed, showing she did know what she was doing.
and Jaina obviously is smart enough to realise that the things she saw in lorderons undercity is what became of the once human people of lordearon, not the orcs doing. A person who isn't a blatent warmonger would have seen the same. She sure as hell used a lot more insight and control then varian well she babysat him.

The Horde torched that Theramore inn.Uh no.... that was rogue elements of the Grimtotem clan; seeing as the Horde have a quest to investigate it too Ibitis; since the addition of the new quests there in the Marsh, we can finally deal with it, and you go into finish the Grimtotem forces.

It's actually during that quest that you reveal the Grimtotems for what they are. Traitors and a bunch of idiots in the grand scheme of things.
Ah, haven't gotten that far yet on my Horde alt heh; just know it from the Alliance side.

Well, I won't spoil much because there's nothing to spoil. You find out they did it. And then you... proceed to do next to nothing about it. Like, you gather the proof, you send it to the right people and... nothing happens.
Y'know, I like the Horde in concept more, but the more I learn about the Alliance, the more I find their quests to make a whole lot of sense. Seriously, the (kna)hack that wrote that arc should be sacked.
Heh, aye, that's more or less why I'm working on a few more Loremaster toons Horde side, to see some of the changes there. But yeah... seems weird that Alliance side deals with the threat of the Grimtotems but the Horde doesn't do anything about them directly; might be some of the Old Crone's influence there lol.

Gonna bump this up, since we know there is a new Jaina book incoming.
So, there was mention of Jaina's Night Elf bodyguard Pained in Wolfheart, as the envoy for Theramore was the Archmagus who is her second in command, let's Tyrande and Mal know that she is doing well. Since the book is coming out, that's probably why Jaina wasn't in the book itself; since they didn't want to over use her or something (/roll eyes).
I'm honestly not sure if I'm looking forward to this book or not; even though it's being written by Golden, I haven't been a fan of her representation of Jaina in the last couple of books; from the simple @#$% and dump of Rise of the Lich King, and then the fact that she was treated like a living plot point in the Shattering......guess we'll have to wait and see.

I'm not going to bother reading the Jaina book, personally. I don't play any more, and don't really engage with the lore any more. I mean, I've sort of disappeared from the board (and most of my posts are spammy or simply correcting misconceptions), so I don't see the point! Jaina was alright in RotLK, except for the romance, which was most of her plot presence, but still... >.>
Have there been any hints about what the novel will be revolving around, or...?

Not so far, and the time period it's meant to be set in hasn't been released either; honestly guessing it's either going to be A) Retelling of the death of Daelin, B) Showing what happens to her in Cata, or C) Combo of both, like how Rise of the Lich King had things in the past and the present.

Did the reveal of the book mention it was setting some stuff up for the next "age" of Warcraft? I got the impression that it was going to be set after Cata, or right around the end of it.
I'm looking forward to it. I dislike how sidelined Jaina's become, so hopefully this will be a good return to prominence for her character. I would like to see some tension between her and Varian regarding peace with the Horde, and actually have her on a level with Varian, instead of her acting like a subordinate, or cowering weakling. I want to see them go at it, and see different sides of the Alliance wanting peace and wanting war.
Well, long as it isn't like Cycle of Hatred, which is the only other book to feature her as an exclusive main character....but even, that reduced her to an almost damsel in distress role, majorly; but there is a reason why that book is the absolute worse of all of the Warcraft novels.....
As for it being the set up for the next age: Could see them possibly starting the return of Kul Tiras in the book. We could be seeing a group from the island nation, or even her brother and whoever he's finally hooked up with coming to see her; where it will go from there, we'll have to wait and see, if they take that route.

Also most of the people of theramore don't want to deal with the horde and she should listen to her people when
95-100%
(estimate) do not want what she does.
And I've heard that 99% of all statistics are made up on the spot.
Also if thats not enough when the
King of the Alliance
is face to face with one of the main enemies of the Alliance you don't just go: No Thrall I'll save you! and teleports Varian. I mean comeone?
Varian is the King of
Stormwind
. The Alliance has no supreme leader.
