As of right now, I have both Mining and Engineering maxed out, but I'm starting to think I might drop Engineering and pick up JC instead because of the gems. I really can't decide if it would be a wise investment to pick up JC instead over Engineering, about the only good thing I see out of Engineering as for tanking are the tanking goggles which would only get replaced sooner or later, so what do you guys think? or maybe even pick up Blacksmithing and JC? Idk lol confused as ever, any feedback would be appreciated, thanks :)

Go level your warlock >.>
Anyway on topic I would take JC and stick with mining for the bonus.
haha yea I plan to finish them off, but I didn't think I picked the best professions overall for my Death Knight and Shaman as my DK is a tank and my Shaman is a Healer.

JC, especially combined w/ BS, provide a level of stat flexibility that no other professions can match, which is especially useful for tanks which have some of the most stringent stat requirements.
We need melee hit cap (8%), as close to spell hit cap as possible for DK's (17% without 3/3 Virulence), without going below Defense cap (540), and while keeping our stamina, dodge, parry, and armor as high as possible.
There's an especially tricky time for meeting those requirements as well, which occurs when you try to make the gear transition between Heroic and raid gear. At that point it's very difficult to maintain the Defense cap and get anywhere near the hit and expertise caps. Once you get past that and gear up w/ ilevel 213-226 gear it's not so much a problem anymore, though.
The Jeweler's gems plus two extra gem slots from BS make that transition much easier. I don't think there are any other profession combo's that offer the stat flexibility those two do.
I'd recommend starting with Mine/JC since JC generally makes more money than BS, and you can make back some of the cost of powerleveling it. Unless you have a rich main that can fund both.

Sweet, thanks guys I think I'm gonna work on JC and Blacksmithing as soon as I get Wow reinstalled on my computer. I agree it looks like it might be better to go Mining and JC and then drop Mining after I get the estimated amount of mats I need to lvl to 450 Blacksmithing.

Yea, I got my JC up, but now I'm debating if I should even drop Mining and picking up Blacksmithing, mainly because of the fact that I won't have anyway of picking up any ore to prospect unless I buy it from the AH or have a alt miner. As much it would benefit me tanking, I don't know about money wise, I mean yea I could make stuff and sell it lol but it would involve me having to buy stuff about all the time. Unless theres a real good reason to pick up Blacksmithing Idk.
