your gear is not too bad, and also your spec is correct.
the only thing that sucks, is arp. try to get rid of it since is not a good stat for rogues, even if stacked till cap. and especially for mutilate, where our phisical damage is like the 40-45 % of the total. (i mean melee + mutilates, for me melee is 30% and muti 15% more or less).
berserking is not wasted, is far superior than mongoose imho, but maybe not that far.
and as for combat, the problem is not about melee swings, is about talents. many of the fights now require movement, managing of adds and do dps in certain phasas of the encounter. combat shines because of his cooldowns (AR, BF, KS) meanwhile mutilate doesn't have any.
my record as mutilate is around 6k dps, so dont' worry. get some more gear, upgrade your daggers if you can. im stuck with SR/WD from the very first days of naxx, now im hoping to rop some coliseum ones :P

I boldfaced that because quite frankly, it's silly. Even for mut, arp has its use. It isnt a stat worth stacking as mut spec, but it isnt necessarily a 'bad' stat for the spec, and it most definitely isnt a 'bad' stat for combat.

its a "bad" stat since there are stats more useful, both for combat and muti. if you have some on gear, no problem, but i don't think gearing and gemming for arp would pay well.
anyway i can be wrong, so if somebody has tests/simulations about arp, i will be happy^^
EDIT: lol liquoid has done some tests....gemming for arp gives a 10 dps increase in the best case. arp is a bad stat. go for AP.

I'll do some number crunching after I get Vezax's 10man hardmode cloak. But yes, ArP is only better than Agi/AP when you get near BiS gear. and only slightly.

In liquoid's case, sure. But not everyone is liquoid. ArP produces the best results at BiS levels. By quite a large margin.

I've only
just
got past the margin when ArP gemming is favorable over AP/Agi. If I ever get Vezax's cloak and Yogg's belt, then for every Agility gem replaced by ArP gem I will gain 3 DPS. If I ever get a 239 off-set piece, e.g. Yogg25 legs, the gain will increase even further.

I hate to ask this, but for weeks I have been reading "BiS" and have yet to figure it out.
For anyone saying that ArP is a bad stat for rogues I am sure you would be suprised to see the top dps in THE WORLD all stack ArP. As already mentioned, as with other melee classes, you reach a point that ArP will over take all other stats for gemming.
What's funny is, once people finally realize ArP has become an awsome stat, Cataclysm will be here and the argument will be moot. lol

I ran a 25 naxx pug and Sinister Revenge dropped off KT.
I roll an 18 and so does the other Mut rogue. But guess what...his real life friend, a combat rogue, rolls an 85 even though the rules were Main spec only.
There have been several times I can think of pugging 25 Naxx from the start where ofc someone leaves the party around Saph/KT time and ofc they have to go fill that one lousy dps spot with the first rogue they can find laying around on the street with at least 3/5 hateful on, missing gems, poor gems, missing enchants, incorrect enchants, single specced pvp, you name it. Make a long story short there have been several times I can remember hopeing Sinister Revenge
doesnt
drop just so I dont have to roll on, and loose it to one of these types.
Usually if I can I will size up the other rogue for bandits and CG and start trying to make a deal during the last quarter involveing me not rolling on either bandits or CG if they agree not to roll on Sinister.
Rolling on SR with PvP rogues is NOTHING compared to rolling for Mjolnir Runestone with a Hunter who has been carried by the guild.
