I had en experience at Lights Hope Chapel once, way back when I was very newbie.
There was an annoying Belf Pala girl hopping around at the door, PvP flagged. Just hop, hop, hop, hop, for about 5 minutes. I watched her, and she seemed to keep getting closer. I got annoyed at this intrusion, and decided to slap her around a bit (ever the gentleman).
What I didn't realise was the guards at LHC don't like that sort of behaviour. I actually laughed my ass off as about 15 of them appeared to Heroic Leap onto my head, and insta kill me. And I was level 70 at the time in full PvP epics. And when I say insta kill, I really mean, like blink and you would have missed it.
I think all the factions Guards, the joes you see around and in towns, need a buff like this, where even higher level players need to fear them, and understand, that without a raid group such and such a town is off limits.
So, weaker, younger players will always have a safe haven they can hide out in for a while, and no more epic geared peckers (guilty) solo raiding Crossroads / Tarren Mill / Southshore etc, and just being a nuisance.
By all means, go with a party, but nothing less.

Then you and your party were twinked up, or the 70+ failed miserably. Or he was a much lower level and you mistook him to be much higher than he was. Seriously, a single AoE attack from a fresh 80 in quest blues should be enough to kill a party of 40s, much less geared 80s killing time before the next raid.
My 72 Mage easily ganks parties of 5 with healers, pallys, etc in 2-3 hits, don't even get me started on my rogue lol...
However w/o the threat of dying constantly this game would be of no interest to me, plus I believe it allows you to actually care about your faction and hate the other.

1. Get ganked on a PvP server.
2. Transfer to a PvE server.
3. ?
4. Profit.

If you don't like the changes to the game, then stop playing. We won't miss the complaints at all.

If you try to look at it from this slightly more positive light, it will actually give more 80 v 80 world pvp by the time you switch toons your ganker will be hovering in complete safety. How does this increase world pvp?
Shammy + Pally Combo can take out fliers at any height. No one is safe, muahahaha.

I wish all you people saying transfer to a PvE server would stfu (you gonna pay for it?), I like world PvP, but its kinda ridiculous when you aren't able to fight the person when they out level you by a lot.

And we wish that you would understand that if you're going to play on a PvP server, you're going to get ganked - and that's going to increase now that the big kids are going to be back in Azeroth more frequently than before.
So your options are:
1. Continue to get ganked, in which case when you come complain on the forums you
will
get razzed about it.
2. Transfer to a PvE server where you don't have to worry about getting ganked, but sacrifice the ability to do world PvP outside of capital cities and the rare, random encounter with someone PvP-flagged out in the world.

I think that it'll be easier to get a level 80+ to help you out because they'll be hanging out in Azeroth anyway. And most of them would probably enjoy killing a ganker, because they got ganked themselves when they were leveling.
