Do you still have your professions? Go run low level instances (RFC/WC if you're Horde, Deadmines if you're Ally etc.) and go do some quests. Most likely you didn't completed every quest.
Alternatively, go make another DK, finish his Starting Zone and send some money, delete, repeat...

Go do some starter quests until you have some decent money (dont forget to vendor your trash loot). Then once you have some decent gear, go quest in Outland (vendoring trash loot again), then repeat the process in Northrend until you slowly get back to something resembling normal. Then start from scratch in Heroics, Reputation gear, crafted gear, etc.
Good luck to you. =)
EDIT: wow, beaten to the punch.
Also:

Although this is usually a good idea, you cannot have more than one DK class per server.

In the future, don't DELETE toons.
They stay on your account indefinitely whether you're paying monthly or not. There's truly no reason to delete a toon (especially if you took the time to max out its level). You never know how you'll feel years later. It's best to have something to go back to if you get the urge to play it, instead of starting from scratch.
