There was a nasty rumor floating around right after release of WotLK that resilience "didn't work" in PvE. The fact is, you can still get uncrittable in PvP gear. Like it's already been stated, you will not have the avoidance of a tank that is using PvE itemized tanking gear, but at least the PvP Tank will be uncrittable.
Note that the latest changes to Resilience, the reduction in damage, does NOT apply against NPCs.

You're also going to lack hit and expertise if you use PvP gear, so your threat output is going to take a hit, as well.

Well, it is heroics. Furious item level is on par with Ulduar25. You might be weaker then on equivalent pvE gear, but with full furious in your hands, it's not that hard. Remember heroics are designed for fresh 80s.

I'd had no luck finding any good tanking bracers, and was near the honor cap, so went with the PvP bracers.
Wowwiki has some
macros that work out if you are uncrittable with a combination of def + resil
. Very handy if you have mainly tank gear with a bit of PvP.
its just mouse over you resilience and there you will see something like it lowers your chance to be critticaly hit for example 2%
mouse over you defense and there you will see lowers your chance to be critticaly hit
so add these two numbers together and if its higher than 5,6% then you are crit immune, so you dont need any macro

Actually, a lot of PvP gear has hit. My DK has all PvP gear (use him for battleground, mostly) and he has nearly 300 hit rating. I don't know why people keep saying PvP gear has no hit. But yeah, expertise is a bit lacking.
yeah expertise is lacking, but i will preffer some full pvp guy, than some guy, who just want to start heroic, pvp will just have better gear

What about tanking with a Bear Tank, since if i am not mistaken they receive dodge from Agility?
What exactly are you asking about Bear tanking? Bears get crit immunity from a talent; they don't need resilience or defense at all.

He could be referring to tanking a boss such as Thorim: It's possible for a well-PvP-geared bear to solo-tank Thorim because he'll still be crit-immune through Thorim's defense-reducing attack (you'd need about 630 resil to achieve this feat as a bear tank).
Luckily, PvP gear provides lots of agility, stamina, AP, and crit, all core bear tanking stats, so it's not much of a threat loss for a bear. You'll need expertise/hit jewelry to reach those caps though, and your armor penetration and haste will both be low.
