...I, Uglybunny, am a 16 year old male and have read all four twighlight books and am a fan. For those who haven't gotten past the first book, its a shame you haven't gotten to where Edward leaves for an entire book, where the vampires and the WEREWOLVES have a war, and where two ultimate bodies of vampires gather to get what they want from the other, or die trying. See, i bet you didn't even know there were Werewolves...
....And you also miss the part where Bella has a demonspawn child with the worst name in history. And you also miss how the entire final book is just a lead up to this great fight which just doesn't happen because thanks to Bella's pure
awesomeness
the good guys and the bad guys are able to talk over their problems at the end.
No joke there. That's seriously how the last book goes.
If anyone here's familiar with the term 'Mary Sue', you'll know why I hate the books.
It's a badly written fanfiction of various vampire pop culuture.
And yes, I've read all 4 books. I've seen the movie. I want to put edward through a giant blender. Bella irritates me to no extent, I'm a team Jacob supporter and the books need more Jasper. *nod*

Mary Sue indeed, I have read the 4 books and I've seen the movie. Im a 17 year old male and I have a great reason to hate the books. The only reason I read the books? So when I write my stories, I know what
NOT
to do.
Speaking about beating a dead horse....

Its a shame we don't have any militant fans in here.
Militant?
Anyway, I agree that the anti-climax was a bit...peculiar, but I guess the author was trying to do something different. The name 'Reneesme' was really strange, not sure if I liked that too much.
Still, in its core is a young adult romance novel with a slight twist thrown in that differentiates it from your everyday young adult romance.
Of course
there's going to be the fangirls. Just like there was fangirls back when boy bands were big. There's clearly differences, but the point stands. If anything that appeals to that certain youth, they're going to be all full-out and on about it. That does
not
mean, however, that those of different ages and maturities cannot enjoy the same book, as there is more than just one layer to it, just like everything else.
Personally, my girlfriend and I could relate more to Jasper and Alice, and that was the story that we liked to follow and parallel more than the Bella and Edward one. To each his own.

Dracula =
Dark, powerful, lord that when he was alive slaughtered countless innocents. Known as "the Impaler". Became a vampire and caused other people to join him in his undeath. Lives in a coffin in a giant, creepy castle on top of a mountain overlooking the surrounding countryside. Able to shape shift into many things including wolf, bat, and mist. Has the "vampiric gaze" that helps bend people to his will. Able to crawl up walls. Can't go out in the sun. No reflection. Creepy reddish eyes. PURE EVIL.
Edward Cullen =
A teenage, vampire boy that lives in Washington. Glitters in the sun. Sleeps in a bed. Is a "good" vampire and doesn't attack people.
You make the decision.

so let's see.
The OP is either a troll, OR
based on his whole "NEVER MEASURE UP TO A GUY WITH NO EMOTIONS"...
His girlfriend dumped him, she also reads twilight, he makes a stupid assumption.
IBTL
You are such a freakin troll... go away...
For one the odds of the topic getting locked would be slim to none had you not posted your impish bull.
Two: That entire second bit is baseless and some of the most unintelligent garbage that has ever graced randomness.

False, Edward doesn't sleep so he just has a daybed in his room to sit on.
My point was that instead of living in a coffin in a dank, dark crypt in the depths of a creepy castle in Transylvania; he has a bed, in a bedroom, in a normal house, in Washington.

It's a spin off the old traditional thoughts of Vampires. The whole "I R DRACULA IN A COFFIN AND R DRINKING UR BLUDZ!" Can only be milked so many times. Maybe the spin on it isn't to your taste, but it's more original than reusing the Dracula-type Vampire which has been used in literature for the last <x> Hundred years.

Personally, I'd rather have a copy of Dracula than hormonal, teenager, "vampire" that sparkles in the sun instead of shriveling up like he should.
Jeez! I can't believe I'm actually discussing this!

Have you ever read the books? I doubt it. :)
The books aren't as bad as people make them out to be, but the film wasn't very good.
I agree with the statement that the Twilight-haters are 99% of the time jumping on a bandwagon and just being more numerous and annoying than the fans because they think it makes them look cool or something.
