What Varian needs...

I've alway found Varian to be unbearable, post-Lullabi. I liked him at the beginning of the comic, but then he got his chin and his "I can kick anyone's ass, 'cause I'm the King!" attitude, and I just can't stand him any more. I don't even like to look at him in Stormwind or in the trailers. It makes me feel sorry for people who play Alliance and have to see him regularly.
So I got to thinking... Besides his attitude, what would make him more bearable?
So I thought...
And I thought...
And I finally realized what he was missing!
The same thing
Private Marcus Jonathan was missing
that led to him becoming a General.
I mean, look at the difference!
Before...
After!
He looks so much more tolerable! And it hides his chin, too, so that's a bonus!

Soo.. is this going to turn into a King Varian debate? Honestly, I'm more on leaning towards his side.

I would go with the full beard for him. Maybe I'm biased because I have a full beard... yeah, that's probably it.
But I actually like him. I love the warmongering. It's about time the Alliance grew some new balls, I think. They haven't had any since Turalyon got blowed up or lost or whatever happened to him.
Edit: Except Fandral, he's pretty good at being a !@#$ too.

No, Varian is a ^&*!, but he's the human's...... alright I'm not going to finish that heh. But you get my meaning; It's semi-good to have someone equal to Garrosh/Sylvannas on the Alliance side for once. I mean most of the Human "Leader" *cough*Proudmore/Rhonin*cough*, are all about peace and happyness, while those two Horde member's want to bring death to the Alliance.

Unfortunately due to Varian's past with horde that we all well know, I can't see him giving up his power very easily to Proudmore or Rhonin who want peace and such without a really, really, really good arguement.

I'm not saying he should give it up, just the opposite, its good to have a warmonger on our side to balance garrosh/sylvanas on horde side. Id rather not have Rhonin or Proudmore as the human leader; Jaina would give Stormwind to Thrall as a gift, and Rhonin wouldn't pay attention to us heh.

True, I think Rhonin deals with enough stuff from his own city.

Why would you want King Varian dead? He did manage to bring the Valiance Expedition together and help lead one of the first attacks into Northrend.

Not entirely sure, but still, Varian only does what he feels best is for his people. He, in my opinion, does not think the horde can ever change, and that is why he is so aggresive towards the horde.
Varian had good reason to pull his blade out on Garrosh, since he wasn't the one who pulled the weapons out first.
Yes I admit Varian could be a bit better about how he goes about on his decisions, but every single time he's ever tried to make negotiations with the horde, bad things happen. And the fact that he tried again after his kidnapping with the defias and nearly was assassinated by a orc doesn't go along too well either.

Doesn't help that said orc was the same one who killed his father, even if she couldn't control her actions. Really looking forward to Garona's redemption in the comics, wish it was a weekly instead of a monthly heh....of course I also want issue 25 to come faster, cause the title splits at that point: one for the Horde, one for Alliance.

Yeah, I love Prophet Velen too Tauman, but do you really think the Humans would follow him? No way in hell, he's 1. An Alien 2. Doesn't look like them 3. Impossibly powerful. Most Humans in warcraft, and this is sad but true; they believe like the Scarlet crusade does, humans are better then all other races, which I know isn't true. But on a whole, if Varian were to die, that would be disastrous, he's the only thing keeping the peace with the Night Elves, High Elves, Dwarves, Draenei and the Gnomes, because he knows members of those races and respects them.
If he went down, we would see Stormwind as it was before his return; under control of a corrupt House of Nobles, possibly another Black Dragon, and all the rest. They would pull out all support of the Northrend war, they would go back to ignoring the other races, and they might even try to start a war that Azeroth doesn't need right now. They came damn close with Lady Prestor running Stormwind.

The dwarves would not be able to get the power of Stormwind. AT ALL.
Like Adamsm said, the humans think they are better, and would probaly listen to the House of Nobles again before they listened to the dwarves.

Dralas
Once again, no, the dwarves could not 'seize' the power unless they went to war, and they would never do that.
The House of Nobles is still around, just not listened to since King Varian had returned.

The House of Nobles is a group of select humans that are of noble birth, are rich, and have built themselves previously as "leaders". Though with their new power they became corrupt.
Basically imagine them like the congress without a president, having all the power to themselves.

Tauman if you don't know human lore...... go read before you put forth opinions heh.
But the House of Nobles was the group that hired the Stonemason guild to rebuild Stormwind, then shorted them on their payment, was lead by Lady Prestor aka Onyxia human form.
