There's a way to make a "No Stick" castsequence, but it requires creative use of the /changeactionbar command.
For example, here are a pair of macros from my Affliction 'lock:
#showtooltip
/startattack
/cast Ritual of Summoning; Dark Pact;Rain of Fire;Inferno
/castsequence reset=20/target Corruption,Curse of Agony,Shoot
/changeactionbar 2
and#showtooltip
/startattack
/cast Ritual of Summoning; Dark Pact;Rain of Fire;Inferno
/castsequence reset=20/target Haunt,Unstable Affliction,Shoot
/changeactionbar 1The first macro goes on actionbar 1, and the second on actionbar 2 in the same slot.
First, both of them turn on meele, in case the mob is up close.
Then, there's a cast command with the various modifier functions, which make both buttons behave identically for mod keys.
Finally, each macro has a different castsequence, in this case, both of the casting time spells are in the second one and the instants in the other, so it usually alternates between spells that require casting and intstants.
Now because I end both of them with "Shoot" (attack with wand) it's important to give them resets, and have both lists the same length. Since the idea is to stack dots on the target, having them both reset on target makes sense. The reason Shoot is there, is it is some "no mana" DPS that I can keep using if there's only one target, while waiting for the DOTs to start running down so I don't start stacking dots again while the old ones are still going.
With this setup, if, for example, Haunt is still on cooldown, I can still put Corruption and Curse of Agony on the target while waiting for it to be usable again.
