Chapter 20 is pure amazing awesomeness on so many levels.
Michael Carpenter just laid down an epic ego shattering to Harry, and pretty much told him that he doesn't have to worry about Maggie since nothing is willing to go anywhere near her with the dozen Angels still guarding the Carpenter house and the fact that Harry destroyed the Red Court.
Seriously, this book is awesome!

Page 272 and it just gets better and better...it's nuts how each book is better then the one before it. I really hope Butcher continues to write books after Dresden is done.
Done the book...I loved it, it is awesome, amazing...GAH! Best book in the series easily!..till the next one comes out.
Couple of plot threads set up for further books, so please for the love of Butcher, do not mouse over these spoilers as they are game changers and will ruin the book for you unless you have no other choice.
The Parasite...isn't; it's what is left of Lash and is a new spirit of intellect just like Bob but she hasn't been named yet.
Nic and Tessa are fighting against Nemesis...which is a shocker and something I really was not expecting. But then again, the invasion of Arctic Tor did have Hellfire so looking forward to the actual Fallen War that should be coming eventually. Also, we learn more about Nic's Fallen and you find out that it's not built for battle like all of the rest.
One more thing: Lashciel is back, pissed and jaded about Harry rejecting her.
The Sword of Faith is shattered...and then reborn in the hands of the newest Knight; Waldo Butters who the blade forms as a light saber of all things, and he runs off both Nic and Tessa with the help of Mouse.
Hades is like Odin, that is all.
Second biggest:
Harry has a very very veeeery realistic dream about Murphy; like nearly hardcore sex scene which ends with her pulling a gun on him and about to blow his head off...and then later, while talking to Id Harry, who yells at him to pursue a relationship with Murph, also yells at him to remember how the Dream ended.
On another note, official hook up of Harry and Karrin as of the final chapter.
Biggest:
Harry finally meets Maggie and it turns out that Molly has been telling her things about him....and she wants him to be her Daddy; so sweet and awesome!
Only down side to the book is that there is no Thomas this time around, but I'm sure he'll be back again. We've got 5 books to go, so now we wait for the next one. But it is a worthy addition to the series.

Just finished Joe Abercrombie's First Law trilogy. Kind of an emotionally jarring ending... Picking Stephen King's Dark Tower series up again today to finish the series finally.

Not really, though. Lasciel (and Ursiel, for that matter) are both trapped in Hades' Vault. I doubt that they're getting out of there any time soon.

They said in the book that the Coins are hard to lock away and they manage to get back into circulation; even with the Lord of the Underworld having them, I have a feeling they'll be back out and about fairly soonish...at least the Fallen will make sure of it since the last time we saw both of them, they were suppose to be sealed away in the Church's vault.

Well yeah, but I'm fairly certain the Church's vault is nowhere near as secure as Hades' (especially with Marcone watching it).
We might see them again, I guess, but I'm fairly certain it's not going to be for a long while.

Of course...but then again, these are the Fallen, which are one of the Big Bad's out there; if Nemesis is working through them(which was suggested) then I can't see it letting the most physically imposed Nicklehead and one of the most magically powerful sitting around without hosts...and that's leaving aside what is going to happen to another Coin that lost the host in the book.

Oh also Funden, as posted on TVTropes:
Anticlimax Boss: Lasciel and Hannah are defeated disappointingly quickly; they could have been great returning villains.
It's directly stated in book that Lasciel and Hannah are capable of creating a Way out of Hades, and we Never Found the Body... To drive the point home even further, Harry himself got out of a "Falling-Rubble-Smushy-Death" himself by opening a Way inside the domicile of a powerful supernatural being, in Changes. So there is that too possibly.

I just picked up the first two of those. The first was really good. I'm not a huge fan of King's, I don't like his 'regular' style, but he clearly goes for an epic one in those books and damned if he doesn't deliver. He said he wanted his characters to seem as giants and it really works. You can tell he took a lot of prompts in design from Tolkien.
Sex plays a huge role though so far. Not always my fare with the more carnal aspects played up but again, Mr. King is a very skilled author and it's never too jarring.

Whilst I really enjoyed books 1-4 of The Dark Tower series, especially 1 and 4, the last three books were a bit of a disappointment to me.
I'm currently reading quite a diverse array of books as I cannot seem to land on one that keeps me hooked right through to the end. The opening of Prince of Thorns by Mark Lawrence was good but I have been stuck about half way through for a couple of weeks. I'm still only about a quarter of the way through book 9 of the Wheel of Time series and stuck halfway through A Clash of Kings.
I either need to pull my finger out and actually finish one of them or just give up and re-read Lord of the Rings again...

Random thought Mister is said to vanishe when ever butters girlfrienf (Andi) is around and that he is more then good at avoiding supernatural trouble
He vanishes because in Day Off short story Andi and Kirby chased him around Harry's original apartment while they were infested by Neverever magical mites. Both of them were in their werewolf forms and were trying to kill him....and Mouse was chasing them, so when they knocked Harry over, Mouse stepped on the human where the human male always get's stepped on. One of the sillier side stories...and that includes the one about the goat.

And both coin bearers suffer similar squishy ends. :D
I finished Skin Game over one long flight/layover while on vacation. Incredible. I was never a big fan of his Codex series, but the Dresden Files are Top Notch reading.
Over The ten days of vacation I finished 7 novels!
Skin Game
The Divergent Trilogy (meh. not awful)
The first three ASOIAF. {HOLY CARP BALLS AWESOME} -
how come I never heard of GRR Martin if the first book came out in '97? What else has everyone been hiding from me?

I feel all hipster whenever anybody mentions them. I started reading them almost 9 years ago. The wait between AFFC and ADWD was awful.
Also, you need to read the Stormlight Archive, if you're into fantasy like that. Sanderson is the best fantasy author out there, imo.

Kinda like the recent trend of post-apocalyptic teen books coming out, even if I'm 30 lol. Just read the first book of the Quarantine series(okay yes it's old) and was quite excellent and feels like Lord of the Flies. I also picked up all 5 books of the Enemy series by Charlie Higson and can't wait for the next two to come out; come on, any book where a virus causes everyone over 14 to either die out right or turn into cannibals is very awesome.

So....really regretting purchasing the Divergent series :P Got the box set, and started to read them; when it was all about the main character in the Dauntless faction, it was readable.....then the 'story' started, and kept on going. I'm more or less forcing myself to finish off the third book and then I'll read the fourth so wittingly named 'Four'(cause it's from the view point of the main male protagonist). Seriously, this thing is as hard to read as the Hunger Games.
Edit: I gave up...I can't do it, I just can't do it.

You know, whenever I read the Dresden Files and it's a scene with Nicodemus,
this
is the voice I hear in my head whenever it's his lines(Alpha is the guy with the weapon((aka David Warner))).
