So finished reading book four of the Meg series; Hell's Aquarium and it's good... but not for everyone heh.
And for my next book: Legends of Shannara, Bearers of the Black Staff; here's hoping it's better then the Heritage books... they weren't horrible, but weren't as good as the original series heh.

Heritage... which ones were those again?

The Scions of Shannara, The Druid of Shannara, The Elf Queen of Shannara and The Talismans of Shannara. Chronologically it's the next series after the original.

Ah. TBH I didn't really like those either.
The best for sure was the "Voyage of the Jerle Shannara."

Heh, actually... got my books confused; I liked the Heritage series(Walker Bol against the Four Horsemen ftw), I meant the most recent series which does lead into the Legends: Genesis of Shannara, yes it finally tied in the Word and the Void to the Shannara books... but I really really really really really really hated Hawk, even if he was the Gypsy Moth that John Ross gave his life to defend.... god that kid was angsty and whiny; at least the other Knights and the Daemons made up for him being the 'main character'.

And finished Bearer's of the Black Staff.... excellent book, redeems the Genesis series after Gypsy Morph and The Elves of Cintra. The final part of the series is called the Measure of Magic... and I am looking forward to it. Also; Brooks needs to stop killing the Druids/Knights of the Word already heh.

Updated the document with a review of R. Scott Bakker's "Prince of Nothing" series.

I know it's kind of mainstream media hype now, but the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series is really amazing. For the main character, imagine Rorschach in real life, but he's a lesbian goth. One of the best series I've ever read, and it has made me absolutely terrified of Sweden (lol, jk).

So I just finished The Way of Kings. I'm pretty pumped for the next one now. Good thing Sanderson is a fast writer!

And... just realized I forgot to add in when I finished 'The Sleeping Beauty' by Mercedes Lackey heh; another excellent book by her, from the 500 Kingdoms series, where Tradition rules over the lives of everyone, and the Fairy Godmothers/Sorcerers/Wizards/Witches and the rest try their best to keep the bad fairy tales; such as Ladder Locks(Rapunzel) and the like.... and these aren't the clean versions either heh, Lackey uses the original Grimm Fairy Tales as the base.

The Prince of Nothing series...
if you haven't read that and you love fantasy, go die in a hole.
Those books are amazing. It's like a song of ice and fire multiplied by 10.

I've had enough fantasy and high adventure in my reading list for the moment.
Does not compute. Error. Error.
