Finally got around to reading 1984. :)
It is ... amazing. It's got the same feel to it that Animal Farm had.

Inkheart series by Cornealia Funke (The movie of this sucked royally)
Twas good, it had the medieval feel of Fantasy that Fantasy author's are missing.
Anyways, Nightside = Win.

I preferred Animal Farm, because it was told from a perfectly objective manner, and it made a more serious impact on me as a reader.

The 500 Kingdoms series by Mercedes Lackey is quite good; a twist on fairy tales.

Finishing the Rigante saga by David Gemmell. Pretty cool series - interesting story, good characters, really nice narrative, and a tiny bit of magic, just to make it all mysterious.

I finished the first Gaunt's Ghosts omnibus, and I was going to get the second when my friend offered to let me borrow World War Z, which I've wanted to read for a long time now. Also, another friend of mine's reading the Hellboy graphic novels and promised me them when she's done, so my plate's pretty full for a little while reading-wise, heh.

Finished reading 1984!
It was incredible, honestly. Excellent, excellent, excellent book, it was. I think what surprised me most about the ending, was that I wasn't surprised.

I bought some random book from Wal-Mart for just a few dollars.
Something titled
Run For Your Life
by James Patterson. I hope I like it.
My next read will come from here, though. I'm thinking
Fahrenheit 451
. :)

I am planning on reading 1984, my mum has a copy and shes read it and given it to me, just haven't gotten around to it yet.
By the way Animal Farm is also a good book, it is by the same author as 1984 (George Orwell)

I've been reading mainly the Warhammer 40k Gaunt's Ghosts series lately, and honestly, Dan Abnett's writing ranks right up there with "serious" military fiction. I just finished the fourth book (first in the second omnibus),
Honour Guard
, which contains a brilliantly written urban tank battle that spans a good fifty or more pages and just doesn't get boring. In the foreword he even listed that as the best military maneuver he's ever written.

The Book Thief; Markus Zusak- The story narrated by Death at one of his most bussiest times the Holocost in germany, very innovative novel
Indeed it is, I received it as a gift from my grandmother, and loved it.
