From a pure artistic view point...that's actually pretty cool how they designed that; if they actually hold up like that, it will be a great piece of engineering.
As for the 'Don't tread on the feelings of the 9/11 victim's families'...yeah, it's not in the USofA, it's being done over seas, oh well. I still think they went over board after the Towers with everything pulling scenes of them and editing old footage to remove them.

On that topic! Our "new" film at our motion simulator ride is quite obviously over ten years old.

At least be fair, it's not that they are square buildings that people are finding offensive, it's that they have a very unique design that can be taken to resemble the buildings exploding.
Sure, if the WTC towers had a 10 storey skybridge between them, and that was what was exploding. If they paint it black, will it be twice as offensive?

I agree, entirely. To be entirely honest, I thought it was cloud shaped when I first looked at it. Considering the funny shape of the windows along the sides and South Korea's gaming culture, I wouldn't be surprised if it was Tetris inspired.

If they paint it black
I see a skybridge and I want to paint it black...

Nah you paint it sky blue for the being a jerk factor.

Way to be overly dismissive.

Way to be overly sensitive to it?

It's really about intention. I doubt that the guys building this are secretly Al-Quaeda terrorists, just like the guys who built the mosque a couple blocks down from it weren't either. There's really no reason to look for things like that in the world.

I honestly didn't see the Twin Towers exploding thing until someone mentioned it.
So I agree with

I never said I had any problems with it, but when he jumps in making wisecracks about something people who obviously have serious reservations about (read:
the guy's son died
), I feel like I'm getting some troubling apathy vibes. Make whatever point about what the buildings look like without resorting to something so pointless and trying to demean someone who isn't even present.

And I made similar cracks, as I don't see why another country should be able to tell a different one why they can or can't build a building the way they did. Okay, fine, it's shaped like that, for the whole sensationalism to it. Beyond that, meh.

Actually, I'm making a crack at the news article for running a non-issue in the first instance. As I sarcastically pointed out, if a building was painted black, you could probably find an African-American / Australian Aboriginal / <insert race here> who would be horribly offended by it, drawing on hundreds of years of abuse. Although the guy's son died, that's like saying "my uncle died, he was gay, stop talking crap about gay people, MyTie!" - the fact his son died has no fundamental relevance to the issue.
And now, on a lighter side note, I'm not sure if this has been posted before, but:
What happens when journos make fun of journals.

Of course it was relevant, the people who had a problem with it had the problem because of the deaths. You might not agree, but there is no need to make stupid remarks.

Why not? I mean really; okay it's a building shaped like the Towers falling.....and? It was created for sensationalism, to get people to talk about it. And while it's sad that a tragedy like that happened, it was 10 years ago, and it's still not like they are building the new Tower in America.
Edit: To put it in a different light: Why do you argue/discuss certain topics with MyTie, when it makes you angry and feel the need to lash out at his views, knowing they won't be changed no matter what you tell him?

I said already I'm not concerned about whether you disagree or not. I'm simply pointing out that Squishalot is unfairly demeaning towards the people who are invested in the issue.

I've laid the reasons out in the aforementioned thread.
