Word is that on the PTR there is a BoA tome purchasable from the Dalaran mount vendor that teaches cold weather flying, costs 1000g and only requires level 68 but is consumed on use.

Not that I know of but you could buy gems with badges and sell them on the AH to get the 1000g. Or if you have unused honor points you can buy gems too. There are many ways to get gold.

Once again, let me state: Time consumption <> Difficulty. Golf isn't difficult because it takes 2-4 hours to play 18 holes; it's difficult because of the skill involved.
If someone doesn't like the changes, then they don't have to take advantage of them.
It seems like it's the nature of the Internet to complain about things.
If Blizzard reduced the monthly cost to play in half, half of these people would complain that it'll let more n00bs in, and the other half would complain it's not low enough.
One of my guildies said something that I use as a quote on our guild forums; unfortunately, it's not safe for these forums, as it has to do with some sexual acts. I'll just say QFT and leave it at that.

You young whippersnappers! back in my day you had to walk everywhere you wanted to go until you were 40 years old! only then were you allowed the precious privilege of riding into battle on the back of your trusted beast of burden!
I hope you know how good you have it these days sonny! You're spoiled rotten!
Totally.
My druid was my first character to level 40, and the only reason I was able to buy my mount at 40 was because a hunter that I did a favor for ninja'ed
this
when it dropped in our SM cath run...he gave it to me, I sold it and we split the profits 50/50.
I remember how cool it was to get my
Stormpike Battle Charger
on my druid, back when noone had them. Yeah, mountage is nothing special now.
I like the changes because it makes leveling my alts much faster (getting a warrior to 40 with no mount...*shudder*), but I wish the mount requirements were still 40-60-70 for people who haven't hit those levels yet. Just so they gain an appreciation for their mount.

I like the changes and here is the reason I like them
lvl 20: I don't walk so slow anymore still slow but not as slow
lvl 40: I can use my epic mount before I get flying skill for outland and never use it again
lvl 60: Now I lvl up to 60 and can actualy use my mount for a bit instead of geting it at 70 and having to wait a long time to 77 to even think about riding it. I mean come on I get the skill at 70 but I ain't even able to use it still because no Cold weather flying
epic skill pretty much the same bit cheaper after grinding.
cold weather flying at 68 if you already have it. SO EPIC

I have nothing but love for the mount changes. My only wish is that they had come sooner (though I'm glad I procrastinated getting epic ground mounts and flyers for my latest characters).
