hello .. i was just wondering can ffb work on pvp like it do on pve? i love the spec and i came up with these two specs:
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent#of0bZfV0fRh0uVzZhIcIobucbd
or:
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent#oZfV0fRh0uizroZhIcIobucbd
comments please.
by the way these are for a casual pvp player (only bj's) and nothing serious :)
thank you.
i'm pretty sure you meant only BGs...... -ahem-
anyway, yes what HeTZR said is true.. frostfire doesn't work for two main reasons in pvp. 1 - it's adouble school lockout if you get interrupted (no frost spells OR fire spells).. and 2 - without the right talents, FFB doesn't really hit as hard as it should.. One of those talents is Burnout (which is 2nd from the bottom of the fire tree). Another problem with the FFB is that it's just... way too long of a cast time really. 3 seconds before haste is just asking for you to get interrupted wayyy too much.

I play with specs in BGs and what I can tell you about FFB is you will use that spell maybe 2% of the time. If you go with the classic FFB raid build, Living Bomb is king of my arsenal. I used Fire Blast and Cone of Cold, and I like to Scorch because it is only 1.5 seconds to cast, and it gives 5% more crit on a target. Outside of that FFB itself isnt useful even for BGs, much less the Arena. If you want fire for pvp, go deep to get LB, or else deep ice with some arcane if you want. I have been running pure cold lately, and don't miss Torment the Weak at all. If you find a way to use FFB on a regular basis against other humans, please post, I would love to see it.
