Ok..
Playing around trying to do the achievement to kill 5 players in each enemy City. I'm duel specced and my off is a sub spec based on stealth. But while in the city a druid keeps finding me and i never seem to find it. I'm Undead so i know the Night elf druids get a small buff from shadowmeld but i have all the stealth bonus even the old panther from 70 that increases stealth. Is there something druid get that actually make them better at seeing rogues then the rogues got..
Just trying to understand what i'm missing..
Actually in truth every class is seeing me. If stealth doesn't work like it used too whats the point of a rogue..

Stealth works fine.
Stealth is not invisibility. You can be detected by others. Monsters that detect you may stop in their tracks and turn to face you, or attack you directly. Players that detect you will hear a sound, and will be able to target you. The chance of detection increases as you get closer, but also depends on the viewing angle (stand right in front of an enemy and you can guarantee they'll see you), the relative levels, and any perception or subtlety modifiers.

I rarely catch a rogue. Usually he's not spec'd into stealth if I catch him, otherwise I manage to walk up behind him while he's standing still.
Also, you can sap from 10 yards away, while druids have to be in melee range, which gives you an advantage twice over against a druid.

I dueled a druid. He said all he did was spam pounce..apparently you dont need a target for that. However You do need a target for sap. Sad day for me.

I recently did a bit of research into this. Comparing a Rogue with all the Stealth boosting talents vs a Tauren and a Night Elf Druid with the Stealth boosting talents.
Short answer
:
The Undead Rogue with 3/3
Master of Deception
& 2/2
Heightened Senses
will have the advantage
vs a Tauren Druid with 3/3
Feral Instinct
.
The Undead Rogue with 3/3
Master of Deception
& 2/2
Heightened Senses
will have an equal chance
vs a Night Elf Druid with 3/3
Feral Instinct
&
Elusiveness
.
(If the Rogue was a Human or Night Elf, then the Rogue will have the advantage in both situations.)
Explanation
:
Each point in
Master of Deception
&
Feral Instinct
gives 5 Stealth Points. 5 extra Stealth Points means that you will be as difficult to detect as a character 1 level higher. (E.g A lvl 70 Warrior trying to detect a Druid with Feral Instinct will act as if the Druid was a lvl 71.)
Heightened Senses
works in the same way but gives Stealth Detection Points. 2/2 in this talent gives 6 of these points. 5 points negates 1 Stealth level. So basically having 2/2 Heightened Senses negates one of the Feral Instinct points.
Elusiveness
gives 5 Stealth Points. Same as 1 point in Feral Instinct or Master of Deception.
Ok, lets sum this up. In terms of " Stealth Levels".
Undead Rogue with Master of Deception maxed will have 3 extra Stealth levels and will act as if he was a lvl 73.
The Tauren Druid would be the same.
But, the Undead Rogue has Heightened Senses maxed and will reduce one of the Tauren Druids Stealth levels and he will act as if he was a lvl 72 instead of a 73.
So: Undead Rogue lvl 73 vs Tauren Druid lvl 72. Rogue "wins".
For the Undead Rogue vs the Night Elf Druid, it would be exactly the same lvl 73 vs lvl 72 but with
Elusiveness
added. Thus giving the Night Elf Druid an extra level bringing it back up to: Undead Rogue lvl 73 vs Night Elf Druid lvl 73. Equal.
I hope this helps.
Edit: Perhaps this was too much detail for the Rogue Forums.
