Arenas: Glorified dueling dominated by a few of Blizzards pet classes.
Arenas: Where the rich get richer, which seems to be the opposite of balance.
Arenas: Which for some unknown reason seems to be the pinnacle of PVP for Blizzard.
The sooner Arena is scrapped, the sooner we can get back to the heart of what a MMORPG is all about.

As is often quoted by Blizzard when people complain about class X wiping up class Y, "This game was never meant to be balanced around 1v1". Ok, I'll buy that.
But, please explain to me then why 2v2, which is virtually 1v1, is the shining city on the PVP hill, with the best rewards for the least amount of effort (given that you are a pet class)?
I'd like to see Arena gear banned from BGs.
I'd like to see balance be the goal. Maybe there shouldn't be rewards from BGs that can be used in BGs?
I'd like to see equipment not require an Arena rating to acquire (and be competitive).

Let me put in my 2 cents.
OK, so, we all know arena should be scrapped, or at least redone.
As for warriors, our class is absolutely trashed when it comes to balance because blizzard cant handle all the @#$%^ing and moaning casters pour into their ear-holes and shove down their throats, QQ says me... I am no gladiator, I hate arena, and i want 60-like gear to come back for all to use. I mean, I could speak VOLUMES about how stupid it was to nerf fury in the last patch, and this dumb-#### who was talking to this reporter in our Q&A article was utterly wrong and pretty ignorant. Warriors in PVP truly are abandoned when it comes to balance... I could go off and say that kiting is OP and all that tired jargon, but since there are probably caster-mains present, Ill make this clear...
The warrior class in pvp, needs to not be gear dependent. The way warriors are structured now is like a wanna be rogue wanting to be a druid. The abilities rely too much on stats and do not have enough base damage output. Warrior stats should be additional to its damage, not composite... DUHHHH
Also, with kiting, warriors admittedly should be susceptible to kiting, because that's the way melee goes. Resilience was actually, IMHO a good idea but I actually wonder why PVP gear stopped building proper stats and keeping a class what it was. I remember early BC seeing warriors in full 60 epics/blues and hearing the stories from my senior playing buddy. Warriors need to get gear that SUPPORTS THEM instead of make them into what they should be.
Another thing I completely disagree with, is ratings. I don't know WHO thought up this idea, I don't know why they thought it would be fair, but I do know that since BC, I have watched and listened to what truely good pvp'ers have said. Arena is DOMINATED by gear, class, and ratings. The first two are bad enough, but any game I have played that includes a rating system hasn't been all it could be or worse. IMHO again, do away with the "rich get richer" rating system and away with the same philosophy with gear, and focus really on the skill of the player. Develop a NEW rating system based on the class's standing with others of the same class, not other players in general.
I know your saying that im full of it but I should tell you that this would mean arena's have to be discontinued, which probably is not going to happen. Very unfortunate.

OH, and another note I would like to add about the class as it pertains to pvp and pve.
Warriors' abilities also should not have cast times and instead of "on next attack" attacks the warrior should be able to attack according to his haste rating, not his actual attack speed as this is more for the "white" hits, not the "yellow" hits.
That's just my third cent.

And 2v2 rewards are being nerfed in 3.2
Whoa. Blizzard clued in after 3 years?
I fail to see a difference between Arena and BG gear. If you're suggesting removing pvp gear from the game... I don't even want to think about that. If you're going to ban Arena gear, then ban raid gear from BGs as well. The net result is no one bothers to work on gear since there's no point to it.
It's not all about gear. Give people some other reward. Given the popularity of "Achievements", I think many people would play for that honor alone.
As an analogy, the way PVP currently works is liking giving the Super Bowl champions the 1st pick in the college draft. You win, you get access to stuff that is more likely to make you win. That is not balance, which should be the ultimate goal of PVP.
While seeing all pvp gear be available with a little effort (weapons, totems, shields, frills, etc) would be nice, you have to give some reward to hardcore pvpers. Raiders put in the effort so they can get gear, why should pvp be any different?
PVP cannot survive without balance. People will not stand for being continually wiped with no chance of winning (well, unless carrots are dangled in their faces).
Last time I checked, bosses don't care if they players continually wipe them. PVE rewards work.

Well, we all know damage is way to high. I have no idea why Blizzard didn't learn anything from the folly of DAOC, but they didn't.
I guess every generation is slated to repeat the same blatant and obvious mistakes.
