If your a physical damage class I would not suggest going for the prot paladin. Those healers basically specced the way they did to completely shut out melee classes. When a prot-holy fights warlocks, mages or shamans they usually get owned because their FoL is continually interrupted.
My suggestion would be to go for the other target, and interrupt the paladin as much as possible. A good time to go for the kill would be when it has to divine plea itself back to full mana.
Really those healers hard-counter melee comps, but should they fight casters they are almost always dead.

I used to play prot heals, and I had a fair bit of trouble with mobility. With no instant heals, if you say kited my partner out of los I'd have a hard time reaching him for heals in a timely matter. Another thing is if you switch targets often, for example go for the target that isn't affected by Sacred Shield, forcing the paladin to switch the buff, or have a hell of a time healing through mortal strike without it. (it gets expensive)
I can't say I ever worried at all when I see your comp rolling out of the gates, since melee classes are pretty easy for me to heal through, even to tank (exception may be dks and their silence), but when warriors pair with resto druids it can be hard to outlast them. Regular holy pallies are much squishier than prot healers.
Tell your holy pally to go prot heals, it'll be awesome lol
