First problem:
regardless of the missle barrage proc.
Bad idea. If you read any rotation, it says AB, AB, AB, MBarr OR ABarr. Never, ever, ever, channel full-length arcane missiles. Ever. If you're short on mana, cut it to 2 AB's.
this is actually incorrect. The mana conserved by channelling full-length AM versus the DPS loss given by not firing ABarr is quite acceptable... even suggested rather often (even elitistjerks says this is a good way to play now, i believe, but don't quote me on that). Your DPS
is lower
not firing ABarr, but it's not a whole lot.. You do, however, save
a lot
more mana that way.
It does appear that you fixed your spec as was suggested, which is good.. It actually looks to me like you can actually DROP some hit rating.. You're at 12%, but if you're running with a draenei in your group you only need 11%. although, on closer inspection, you don't really have anywhere to drop it from.. hmm.
One thing to look at, when you say you're running 3-3.5k, is that thru the course of an entire raid, or is that only on bosses? Arcane is not an aoe-happy spec like frostfire or even fire/ttw, so aoe's will actually bring down your dps some (since you'll have some threat issues). My suggestion there is to fix recount so that it ONLY saves boss encounters and see what you're pulling on them. Set it up to show current fight only instead of overall to get a better idea of what you're really running at. My gear is quite a bit lower than yours and I pull 4.5-5k on bosses easily (without gimmick fights like hodir or vezax or anything).
Raid composition can also have a dramatic effect on your dps, but 3.5k is definitely low for your gear level. Try changing your recount settings like I suggested and see if that changes your view some.

well, i'm sorry. misinformation. i'm wrong, apologies.
it happens to all of us.. sorry if i came off somewhat harshly. i tend to do that and not realize it sometimes. >.>
@rontheicvil - Archaveon may or may not be a straightforward basis for dps.. You gotta run out of the choking cloud, the rock shards, and every now and again he just likes to jump on your face for no real reason. However, 4k does sound like an improvement, but I still think you should be doing more.
Don't drop hit if it means downgrading, and really, sidegrading isn't all that necessary. Unless you can get a ridiculous amount of more haste from something that loses say - 26 or so hit rating for you (which would put you down to around 11% exactly if my memory is correct).
Also, gemming for socket bonuses is really unnecessary. Very few socket bonuses are worth a flip in the grand scheme of things, and you could always just do better with 19 SP gems, except for the two blues for your meta requirement.
"At the end of the fight, try to be oom"... lol, IDK about you, but i personally never have that problem. I don't even mean to put mana burn phases in at times, but it just kinda happens where I lose track of how many stacks I have due to movement or something else. (KT especially @#$%es me off because he always seems to aoe frostbolt when i'm evocating or hit me with a mana bomb right afterwords... @#$@face)
Good hunting!

Dude, always, ALWAYS, do evo during icy veins so you can't be interupted. Makes it faster too
Does IV actually prevent interruption? I know it prevents spell pushback, but did not know it prevented interruptions too. If so - that is awesome :)
For the most part, yes. Certain boss mob AE's will still cause interruption, but it will prevent quite a few things.
However, I would use Icy Veins + Arcane Power at the very beginning of boss nuking. This is a huge part of bringing up the DPS, as much as 30% (20% on average, but RNG can affect) to your total. Also, is it 10 mans or 25 mans? If you aren't getting any Torment the Weak help, that is another 12% swing, I spec'd in Slow just in case (hurts DPS to cast, but makes up for in the long run on mana:damage ratio if you need to use). 25 mans I find less problems on keeping the dps up.
One slight point: before Mathron left, I asked about a slight change in the frost tree (see FFB best build) , 2 points out of frost bite, and put them into Improved Frost Bolt. The reasoning was a few encounters where freezing mobs was a really bad thing, but Icy Veins is very important. I haven't checked the sticky on Arcane builds yet, and shouldn't be a big deal unless you cast a frost spells.

it would prevent pushback, yeah, but what I meant is the mana destruction ability that KT does at random. He always seems to target me right after I evo so i'm back down to about 30% mana after a full evocation..
And I don't use evo during IV becaues I have IV macro'd into my burn cycle, which includes my mana gem (for the 2 part t7/7.5 bonus to spell power). I'd rather take a minute of shorter damage than have both abilities on cooldown at the same time, and my dps spike during burn phases is quite high.
