The problem is that you gear totally sucks pve wise.
Most epics you are wearing are pvp items which gives you 242 resi of wasted item value and god knows how much STA of wasted item value.
You are wearing tanking legs, gemmed for dodge.
You wear two "haste" trinkets.
You gear isnt enchanted at all.
You are specced for Unbridled Wrath which is one of the crappiest talents ever made.
Tbh 1.6k is quite good achieve for such crap.
1. Get some pve gear. Green/blue pve gear is better for dps than that pvp crap you are wearing. Throw away those crappy haste trinkets. Haste may have been good for Paladins in TBC, for Warrior its one of worst stat along with Spirit.
2. Enchant it and gem properly. Aim for 263 hit rating and 26 expertise skill.
3. Rotation. Stop using Cleave and Heroic Strike. Start using Slam, because i bet you havent been so far. And stop dpsing from front.
4. Fix your spec. You are low of expertise so it may be wise to spec into Weapon Mastery instead of imp MS. Move the points from Unbridled Wrath to their proper place being Commanding pressence & Booming Voice. Get rid of this pvp slow talent.

yeah i was kind of pvp'ing and raiding on this spec and my other one is a tanking spec
i guess i just have to put my pvp gear aside. thanks for the advice
edit: actually i have been using slam, i have also been using a powerauras setup that shows me a pretty much perfect rotation
ill regem and get enchants also. i just really havent ever played end game WoW in all the years ive come back to this game.

Judging by what Zakkhar says, you're Arms spec. I am no Arms pro but I have ventured into it and DPSed a lot of raids with it and the general rotation I found to be was: Rend > MS > Sudden Death > Taste for Blood. Let Rend run its full duration to maximize damage.
There have been a few debates as to whether the rotation should look like: Rend > Taste for Blood > MS > Sudden Death because Imp OP pretty much makes OP crit a lot and OP isn't a really big hitting move but when it crits for me it usually does 4-5k whereas Sudden Death and MS crits are upwards of 6k but OP has a big uptime.
If you're Fury all I can say is 'zzz', Whirlwind > Bloodthirst > Instant Slam procs > Heroic Strike if you got the rage.
Having said that I do enjoy Fury more even though I do less DPS than Arms.

I tried Power Auras for a while, but after a week I moved back to my staple Event Alert, it clearly, visibly and audibly tells you when your procs are up.
