Don't post a reply with no substance. Go to blizzards forums and do that instead.
On topic. No it's not that hard. You'll get into it quite quickly and the gear is pretty easy to get. Haste and mp5 are both good stats, though I prefer mp5. Maybe you could be more specific in your first question.

Easy answer: Try it! That's the only way if you'll find out how hard it is and if you like it (... I find it sad that this was never mentioned - doing something against you will sucks hard). Healing should be even better in 3.2.
Also, a free bit of advice: You can use every caster stat, except Spirit - that stat will do you no good, at all.

pick up some rep vendors gear and spend some badge or proffs (easy get gear to start) try a heroic (nexus,UK,VH)

Healing isnt hard. You just have to know your priorities. Healing the tank comes before healing any DPS player. Remember, tank dies group wipes. DPS dies, you still have 3 others (in 5mans). Also, this is something I had to learn as well is if you're taking damage for whatever reason, YOU get priority heals as well. Healer dies, tank dies. And what happens when tank dies? Group wipes.
Don't let anyone talk crap about you healing yourself, or your heals stealing aggro. Its not like you can stop healing to drop aggro. Those heals have to get out there.
Also study and learn your talents and how they interact and work with other talents and abilities. For instance,
Tidal Waves
makes your next 2 single target heals (Healing Wave & Lesser Healing Wave) faster after a Riptide or Chain Heal. Use that to your advantage. Always know the proper healing spell for the any particular moment. That comes with experience. Don't get discouraged if you don't get the hang of it right away. The more you play healer, the more you'll understand once things start proc'ing and you start noticing how hard your each one of your heals hit.

Hi.
Healing isn't hard to do, but depends on the kind of healing you want/are used to, and that comes with practice.
For exemple, if you use Chain heal a lot, u will need a good mp5 and a good mana pool, although if u have a group with one melee, chain heal isn't the best way, coz it works well if u have more than 2 melee. So u can heal tank and help the other melees not to get kill :P
Other way is using Riptide+Lesser 2x then a Healing Wave, to keep the tank's HP high!
And it's good to have a pain button, like when u are low on mana, u can use Mana Tide Totem to regain mana fast, in long fights, or Nature's Swiftness+Healing Wave for quick heal.
Like Totemmunkey said, your main goal is not to get the tank killed, and for that u also need to keep you alive, so keep an eye on your life.
Like i said before, healing becomes easier with practice, and u can get good healer items, starting with some HC and get badges from them. Try and research where are the good times, then do the dungeons till u get it.

If its your guild that asked y.u to change to resto it will be even easier for you to gear up, if the tank know what he's doing, he doesn't even have to have great gear, you earth shield will do most of the job.
But if you don't want to try on dungeons right away try healing pvp, if you can keep someone up with all the burst on pvp healing on pve will be a lot easier, and you won't have to keep moving, replacing totems as they get killed, its a easy way to test your skill and don't have a huge repair bill and angry people because of your healing.

Shamans have a very simple way of healing, with good utility heals for 5 mans. Remember to find a raid frames addon (essential!) then just learn 2 select your target at the right time.
The only thing that really makes healing hard is that it is more reactive then dps, and if you screw up everyone will know it.
Get a good set of gear and run some heroics until you get the hang of it, I'd reccomend sticking with dps until you have at least 220ish mp5 and 1600 +heal, and even that is a bare minimum for heroics (much harder to work with then tier 8 >.>).
