What PC can do this (fps question)?

What kind of PC is needed to run WoW in Dalaran full of people with medium-high video settings at +50 fps?
(Not a joke question, just geek curiosity. Serious answers please, I'm not good at detecting sarcasm).

My brother has an I7 920 with a 512MB ATI 4850 and 6GB of RAM... and doesn't get more than 35FPS in Dalaran.
Why do you need high FPS in Dalaran anyway? You're not doing anything there but walking/riding from one spot to the next, and fishing can be accomplished relatively easy in as low as 10FPS (yes I've done it).

Thanks to all of you guys for your answers. =)
Now I understand a little more. Ty!
P.S: Q is Quad, right?
Oh, and btw, my specs are:
Intel DualCore , 1800 MHz (9 x 200)
2048 MB (DDR2-667 DDR2 SDRAM)
ATI Radeon HD 4670 (512 MB) PCI-E
Motherboard Gigabyte Technology GA-VM900M
OS Microsoft Windows XP Professional 5.1.2600 (WinXP Retail) SP3
Monitor: SyncMaster 933SN; Resolution: 1360x768
I think that's all the important stuff. I have 80-100 fps in Azeroth, 75-85 fps in Outland, 59-90 fps in Northrend, 17-23 fps in Dalaran, 35-49 fps in 5-mans, and 21-39 fps in 25-mans.

Once again, thanks for posting your specs, I'm learning a lot in this thread.
For example, I didn't understand the relationship between Fps and Hz.
Maybe I should cap it at 75, because I set my monitor's hz to 75 (though in game it's always 60 by default, and I have to change it manually.. very annoying).
Thanks guys xD

OP, the only reason you would want to cap your FPS(enable vsync in the vid options menu) is if you are seeing excessive image tearing. It won't really do much of anything otherwise though; as in NOT a miracle cure for low FPS. If anything it lowers your potential.
Thanks Viscero, I'm not having tearing problems atm so I think I won't cap fps.
xD

Arg. Bad advice is bad.
You don't just cap it because of tearing... ya know what.. im done arguing this point. Google it now. All I can say is if you want to waste processing power that results in no benefit then by all means, go ahead.
Viscero... I'm glad your a computer enthusiast, really I am... But honestly it seems like you just like throwing out big numbers to "seem impressive".
1) A 1Gb connection, in actual field test has been proven that it
can
actually be slower then a 100Mb connection. Back when I was taking Cisco courses we ran some tests and often found the 1Gb connection to be nothing more then a gimmick. But to each their own on that I guess... But SoHo networking equipment simply lacks the real horsepower needed to push the technology, and even so, most machines run into the same issue.
2) You completely overlooked your storage issue. This is why you are an enthusiast. Please go use Google and research some better storage solutions. If you honestly don't get it, I suppose I could give you a hint. What's wrong with your storage solution could also be similar to a possible "bottle neck" with your video card. To understand what I mean, look at my specs I listed out. If your confused... start learning.
3) It's not possible to see faster then your monitor. That isn't physically possible, I don't care how good or bad someones vision is, if your monitor is only putting out 60Hz there is no possible way to see 61+Hz. The card will process it but it will never be rendered on the screen.
OP, capping your frame rate at the same rate of your monitor is smart. If you have a 3 gallon pale why would you try to carry 5 gallons in it? You can't, and wouldn't. If you have FPS issues, dropping it down to 60Hz and 60FPS might help stabilize your video feed. It's better to have consistently better then avg. numbers then irregular spiky numbers.
Thanks wowgeek. Man... computers are complicated :S (and that's what I'm gonna study at college lol).
I've recently activated the options "Vertical Sync" and "Triple Buffering" on the video options of wow. My friends told me that disabling those I'd get more fps. And it was true.
It rised from 60fps to more than 100fps on some places (mostly those empty of players).
But I had sometimes and strange "tearing" (I don't know if the term is correct) that was bothering me.
Now that I activated Vertical sync and triple buffering my max fps is 59-63, but the game runs so much smoother (graphically speaking). And it even rised my fps in Dalaran (from 19-25 to 23-32).
I don't know how it works, but I'm happy now =)
@Wowgeek & Viscero: You know so much of this stuff guys, really, thanks for all the help you've given me. I know you have little differences in some concepts but you two know a lot of this (at least a lot more than me). Gratz!
And thanks to all who posted xD
P.S: What I don't understand is: why my game runs smoother now if I'm having less fps? I guess it has something to do with the monitor's refresh rate (Hz). Anyway, it's cool.
