Nakresh turned his attention to the Elf that had just unfurled the map and was now speaking.
"I am not the best Orc to ask on this matter, for I only know what has been told to me by the elders, butfrom what I know, the Orc known as Ner'zhul was once a great Shaman of my people. He was led by the Deciever under the guise of the spirits to unite the the clans against the Draenei, who the ancestors claimed were plotting our demise. Too late he discovered that it had been the Deciever's manipulation. His apprentice, Gul'dan, *spit*, took his place, and tricked me race into consuming of the blood of the demon,
Mannoroth
," Nakresh shivered at the mention of the name, "with promises of power and strength, and most of my race happily signed their souls away to the Legion. Of all the Clan Leaders, only Durotan did not drink." ((OOC - Apparently no one but Ner'zhul knows that he was the one who persuaded Durotan not to, as Durotan is dead.))
"Ner'zhul eventually became greedy for power on Draenor, due to his coming into possession of the skull of his apprentice, Gul'dan, at the behest of the Warlock, Teron Gorefiend. His lust for power led to him to become self-serving, and uncaring for the people who served him. Eventually, he ripped portals throughout the land of Draenor, with unrealistic plans for conquest of other worlds. He left through one of the portals, and was never seen again, until we learned that it was he that lead the army of undeath that we now call the Scourge."

((How does Atelrith know this? :P Accoriding to Wowwiki, "Alas, Durotan and his mate Draka were the only people aware of Ner'zhul's actions- a secret that died with them years later. Today, no one has any idea that one of Azeroth's greatest enemies saved the orcs from complete and utter annihilation. "
Not trying to shut you down, just trying to maintain accuracy... :P I'm glad that you've decided to join the dicussion... :) ))

Nakresh nodded in agreement.
"I agree with your point, although I do not think that there is anything left of either Arthas or Ner'zhul. The Lich King seems to still possess memories from both entities, but I think that the being we call the the Lich King has reached a point that it is no longer the Human Prince and our Shaman, but something more.
"If the Lich King has any weakness, surely it is pride. I cannot speak for your Prince, but from what I have learned of Ner'zhul and witnessed in Northrend, he does not feel fear, and thus, he is very arrogant and overconfident. Perhaps it is possible to use this to our advantage." He finished, looking about the table.

Doomwhisper nods at the others.
"The Lich King believe in power leading to the end, it is only through great luck that he cannot touch the power of the spirits or the Light. Bad enough he perverts the races, as we Death Knights are living proof of that, but able to use those powers against us, when they are our greatest weapons against his Dark magick and powers."
"Its ironic, you've all noticed my weapon is summoned to me, before my fall I was a paladin with a naaru core weapon, it was corrupted and fused with my body at my rebirth. I truely believe only by the grace of the Naaru was I spared true undeath and was able to regain my mind during the Battle of Light's Hope. My weapon is one of my few connections to my old life, but I have seen the effect it has on the undead. Perhaps before our final battle agains the Lich, we should send requests to both the Shattrah army and the Shattered Sun and see if they are able to assist us in this war. With the Naaru backing our armies with their Light, we might be able to deal a true death blow to the Lich's might."
Seats herself, feeling a little foolish revealing something so personal about herself.

"While you are certainly free to send your requests, I truly doubt that the Naaru can spare the reinforcements. While the Deciever was vanquished at the Sunwell, he still lives, and the Dark Portal is still the greatest entryway into this world. The Naaru are one of the only thing holding the demons out of this world, and the Shattered Sun Offensive is at it's core the Aldor and the Scryers, who serve first the Masters of Shattrath." Nakresh answered.
"No. The Lich King is the result of our mortal actions, and it is in our hands to solve our problem."

Doomwhisper thinks of her blade with the naaru core, drawing strength from it.
"I never said to count on the Naaru, merely to ask them for assistence. We will need all the allies possible for the final assualt on Icecrown Citadel."
"And the Naaru have assisted the Draenei since our dark days of Argus, without them, I would be an Eredar doing my best to eradicate the rest of you."
Smiles slightly, a bit of humour in her eyes.

"Yes..." Nakresh scowled, "Still, the demon threat on Outland is not finished, and may not be for a long time yet. Many of my brothers still work to fight back the Legion on the broken world. It is quite likely that they cannot spare the forces needed for anything except momentary assistance. But you bring a good point, there is no harm in requesting support. Perhaps they may yet offer their assistance with the Lord of Death."

Doomwhisper chuckles lightly.
"Yes after all for everyone of us who falls to Scourge, the enemy gains a new ally, well whenever we kill one of them, they just become a dead body and cannot rejoin our forces. Your kind is rare Forsaken, and requires the Dark Lady's necromancers to increase your number."
"But yes, we must figure a way to either cancel out Frostmourne, or eradicate before the Lich has a chance to utlize it against us."

Nakresh stood, obviously in thought, and then spoke.
"This... Ashbringer... That I have seen wielded by the paladin Fordring intrigues me. Could it's power be used to match that of Frostmourne?"

Adamsm
Doomwhisper shook her head.
"Im not sure Ashbringer would be enough, during the Battle at Light's Hope Chapel, we say the blades clash, and while it is true the Lich King retreated, the damage Ashbringer did to both of the Highlords was great."
"Perhaps if we can find a way to increase the Ashbringer....."
She trails off, remembering that battle and the way her weapon with it's Naaru core reacted to the close proximity of the Ashbringer. She had heard that the holy blade had been built from a purified orb of shadow which sounded suspiciously like the life cycle of the Naaru, going from light to void back to light, which meant the Ashbringer might be a sister weapon to her own blade.
((and no im not saying my runeblade is the equal to ashbringer, just saying its the same type of weapon.))
