The shendralar inside the library suggest there is a way you can get the Prince to talk to you. And when you talk to him yourself, he himself asks you to tell him a story. Has anyone found any clues what you need to do for him to talk to you? Or is it part of some class' epic quest?

PS> Of course, he will only talk to you before you destroy all 5 pylons and kill Immolthar.

Hmmm i got an idea im not sure if it would work. If u had some1 get the quest and kill the dog the prince would be attackable. What if that person then left and went to north through the library and tagged the prince then leaves and lets the grp kill it. Then you could repeatedly kill the prince with that person just leaving b4 he dies so the quest doesnt complete. Would it work?

Easy kill.
Watch the huge aggrorange tho, so let the tank pull and then get in the corner.
Then just unload on him.
He does 1k+/hit on clothusers so be careful if he starts ro run around.

Can anyone tell me the average time it takes to get to Prince Tortheldrin and kill him? (from the 5 crystals to immolthar to Prince Tortheldrin dead)

Can be found in the Western Instance - east part of it. You have to fight your way through nasty ghosts and wizzards - real pain in the ass...

I dunno why but for me this guy is like a coin flip lol, ive wiped to him and only got him down to 80% before with a really good looking group, and ive killed him with relative ease (usually 1 or no people die) with mediocre groups... hehe really strange, i think the key is for the tank to be able to hold the aggro consistently, as some1 mentioned hugging the wall is a good idea, because if the tank is knocked back and lets the prince loose for a while, your casters and healers are gonna die in a heartbeat

Err wtf DM West, DM North? You people are confusing as hell.

Prince Tortheldrin is found in the Library which can be easily reached through DM North. DM West also can lead to the Prince however this is the longer route, please try to be more specific people.

I've found that it's good to have a tank/off-tank combo on him. If you can have two people smacking him, building up mega-aggro on him, he wont ever run after the cloth wearers, even if the tank accidentally gets knocked back to far to immediately regain aggro.

I've had a group that had their main tank get knocked back before they were able to even get into position against the wall, but since my pally had already started building aggro (Seal of Fury, Judge, Concecrate, Seal of Fury) I was able to keep him off the squishies long enough for the tank to regain aggro and get him to the corner.

So this isn't a must, but it sure helps.

As said in earlier posts, he's in the library and you can only attack him once you kill Immol'thar-- who requires clearing all 5 of the crystal pylons in the west entrance undead/elemental area in order to access.

Bring a warrior or a very good bearformed druid, you'll need the taunt since he likes to switch targets often after he uses his knockback attack. Best to have your warrior/druid fight with their back to the wall so they can mash taunt after a knockback (that will send them nowhere since their back is to the wall) before prince runs off and puts some serious hurt on anyone else.

His Knock Away ability is a 50% threat reduction.

The tank should get his back to a wall to reduce the distance he's knocked back, and be prepared to taunt instantly when he is. Other party members should stay close so the tank doesn't have to go far to do the taunt.

He's in library and becomes a target once you take down Immo.

If you are going for Prince and Prince only, it can be done in an hour. You just have to clear the 5 pylons and kill Immol'thar then follow the tunnel from Immol'thar's Prison to the library. Like I said, an hour at most if you dont have a group of retards
