The boss this drops from has to be summoned by whacking the gong with "the mallet". You get the mallet by doing a quest line in the Hinterlands.

I was under the impression that it was a blue item.... not sure though, I'll check it later. Sucks for a warlock, but I greed-rolled for it and this helps me train my dagger skill again.

This dagger isnt bad if u havent had anything for a while like the hypnotic blade i have had for a long time. Has good DPS but would really be great with some other stuff like agility or stamina or something like that.

This is just 100% a rogue weapon. Slow enough for high damage ambushes and backstabs. Not a proc that breaks blind. Hoping to get it today :D

nice and slow, decent damage, might pick this up to replace my Tigerbane swap-in for when i backstab or ambush, if i haven't bought a Widowmaker by then (damn thing was at 150g last time i checked the AH)

Got this instead of my tigerbane. Really nice dagger dropped the second try. I used him in mainhand actually, I think he's not very good in offhand. Anyway, replaced it with a Seraing Needle now ^^

I got 29 procs from 1,118 basic auto-attacks. Roughly translates to 2% chance-on-hit (or 0.66 PPM), which can increase if you're using "extra attack" abilities like Windfury or Sinister Strike. Other than that, it does what it says on the tin.

The proc is very loud, similar to casting a Shaman's Lightning Shield spell but not quite as flashy in the visuals.
