I love this mace. if you get with a good group, then you'll probably get it. I just got into a fight last night with a group on my 21 orc rogue alt about this. Rules were roll on what you can use. I rolled and equipped when I won it, then they started bashing me saying "rogues can't use 1h maces". I used it offhand, main hand Wingblade, good combo. It's just funny that they didn't notice it was in my left hand.

I ran my friends rogue twink through so he can get 2 to Duel weild. Took 4 times to get the first to drop, and 12 more for the second. Whole lotta Armor of the Fang

I am a lvl 31 troll mage and i went throu with a shammy (26)to help him get this just after he died i killed lord pytho... and this droped....but the poor shaman was to far away to beable to roll on it :(

There's now way this thing has a 25% drop rate, I've done WC 20 times at least and I've killed pythas every time and I've never see it drop, I can't be THAT unlucky, can I? >.o

I've seen it drop a dozen times on different servers. Just ran a guildmate through WC last night to get it and it dropped on the first try. He must live right :)

want to get even better? Get a shadowfang and a cruel barb! The poison effect is worth giving up for hte extra 12 AP, since it happens every hit on the barb, and it also helps other weapons as well! Shadowfang is the only weapon under lvl 20 that has over SEVENTEEN D{S, add that extra attack power and you're owning, nice with a crusader/fiery on the shadowfang and a lifesteal on the barb, but anything is good, those just make it better, and while you're at it, if you want to be inane, get Defias chest, Fang legging, Feet of the Lynx, and Deviate Scale Belt. There you go. You do over 200 damage a hit like that.

I got myself two of these in a row when i went WC for 2 times and i wanted to ask u guys,is it worthy having two of these or its better having 2 Assasin Blades?Or 2 Cruel Barbs?Or a Shadowfang and a Assasin Blade/Cruel Barb/Stinging Viper?Tell me ur opinion please.

I am a rogue and i just put fiery in my Stinging vipers and i just OWN in WSG.I also have full enchants in my armor.Only those guys with Shadowfangs can defeat me.I farm myself SFK with my mage now to take those u told me but its too hard to drop...

I've run WC about 20 times now, I'm a level 25 duel-wielding fury warrior and i really want the stinging viper but it's only ever dropped once, and the time it did drop a druid WHO ALREADY *!@#ING HAD IT rolled on it and won... if you could kill members of your own faction he would be so dead right now... Stupid Druids.

For all classes that can dual weild, offhand doesn't do as much damage as your mainhand. Your offhand doesn't swing as often, doesn't affect your special moves (ss/hs/etc) and ofhand procs don't go off nearly as often as mainhand procs. What this means is that the best offhand weapon is either fast for rogue poisons or something with stats so it boosts the damage from your main hand. A good example in this level range is the Cruel Barb which can sit in your offhand and the 12AP will boost the damage of your mainhand where as this only adds a DoT that will (when in your off hand) rarely go off. Then when you get enchants 15 agi (rog/hun) or 15str (war/shm) is the offhand enchant that will boost your *total* damage output the most since it adds to your mainhand and special move damage a lot more than an offhand proc would.

Dual weilding does add more damage because you are swinging another weapon, but the key is to think of the offhand weapon like sqishies think of their offhand, "What can I put here that will boost my stats the best?" A squishy will hold something in offhand that boosts their damage (or healing) and a melee is best off holding something that boosts their mainhand damage as well.

Had this drop for my 20 undead warrior fortunately I was the only one in the group who could use it, so won it. This and the sword reward for the quest make a killer dwing combo.

I got Seedcloud buckler on one run so im hoping to get this on another, although it has no stats and aparantly it doesnt look great it has a cool name and good DPS, the drop rate is also pretty good.

Got this together with the Seedcloud buckler and I think it's a nice alternative for a 1 H / shield shaman.
It has got no stats, but the DPS is nice for the level.
Minor annoyance... the weapon looks like a shoehorn :P

For people wondering, if you get 2 of these, and both of them proc the poison, they do NOT stack. there is no real reason to get 2 to dw other then hitting dmg, you cannot have poison dotx2 on anything. but the proc is kind of rare, so being able to dw means it happens alot more.

why the hell would u want to dual wield 2.80 speed weapon? they dont stack proc and they attack slow like $%^&. the whole point of fiery is to proc them on the fastest weapon as possible, u get two pearl handled dagger and the fiery alone works better than the %^&* proc from the mace. plus you also get stats, able to use ambush and backstab and save your self 2 hrs for farming WC.

So I was looking at weapons for a rogue twink, and came along to weapons. This weapon, and cruel barb. They have the EXACT same stats, except for the fact that Cruel Barb gives you +12 attack power, and Stinging Viper gives you a chance to do 35 damage (chance on hit, DOT). Since Deadmines is in Westfall, and Wailing Caverns is in The Barrens, if it would really make a difference with which weapon you went with? Besides Cruel Barb looking A TON better, which is really the best, and would it be good if you duel wielded this AND, Cruel Barb? Or will Cruel Barb always beat this? Thanks.

i just had a lvl 60 warr run me through wc and it droped i was very happy it finally droped swo now im a twinky with 5 blues from wc

the sheild does good with it to the kroms back or something like that so i own in bg with this mace and sheild

This thingy rules ^^ I mean, Cruel Barb looks nicer but this simple looks... how to say? Cooler? Yeah, Cruel Barb is better for rogues etc, but AGI makes like nothing for a shaman for example, and by the way, a shaman cannot wear swords. So you shall not really compare it to cruel barb, because cruel barb will always be better :p If Blizz dont make massive changes ofcourse.
Fact remains it owns - i can't wait to use it on my level 16 Shamy ^^ It'll own ^^

Ah - and - rogues with Dps weapons SUX LIKE CRAP LOL - rogues would have "attack each 5 secs" weapons if they could - with only double dmg then the daggers. WHY? Because these weapons would be ownage because the rogue still attacks fast with sinister. Think logically, slower but more dmg weapon is better :]

I am a now a level 22 Tauren Druid. I got this along with the Living Root. Shoulda won Embrace of the Viper "Leggings" but some other guy rolled on it that couldn't use em. (Beat me by 1 frigging point on the roll) Also had the "Viper" Footpads drop in same instance and someone else outrolled me. Pretty good haul even if I didn't get the 2 pieces of Viper stuff.

Oh my level 33 Rogue still uses the Viper in his off hand.

Yea I was in group with 2 friends of mine, one was a lvl 31 shaman and the other a 19 warlock, I'm a lvl 19 rogue. Pythas dropped this, the 31 shaman passed on the roll of course, I thought I would get this, but then my really stupid friend who is now the 'stupid noob' to me, rolled for it with his warlock and rolled a 96. He won it and can't use and can't give it to me. I really felt like kicking him in the nuts. He was sitting 8 feet from me so it would have been really easy to do. I just left. So let it be known, the undead warlock named Brane on bloodhoof server is a 'Stupid Noob'. Do yourself a favor and get a Lobatomy before joining a group with this guy.

this item is badass. b4 i had this i was using 2 tail knifes (something liek that). Got this 1 in instance from WC i was like holy sh*t i won the loot!I was so happy that momment lol.if any1 in gillneas needs help getting this am a lvl 21 rogue. Just get a warrior and priest n i will go

Lol, don't be angry at a friend becaus you lost a roll for a level 19 mace. It's a game. Besides, you'll be getting better weapons in a bit with RFK.

I am a lvl 22 Tauren Shaman on Burning Blade: Condiment. I recently got his and got lesser beastslaying put on it /cheer. It rocks, and just today, i got my second one! /ecstatic. w00t!

Was grinding my way through WC, dropped, group was a warlock, 2 hunters, a shammy and me (a druid) everyone passed on it to give me it. Also we had 3 pieces of The Fang armor set drop, and they were nice/smart enough, to allow me to have it.
