Ah, but can the silver skeleton key be disenchanted? If so, 1 silver bar = 2 keys, turning 20 silver bars into 40 green items.

Currently, I am not an enchanter, but I do have a blacksmith nearing the 100 skill mark (damn, blacksmithing is hard to skill up). I figure the keys are simple skill ups for blacksmithing, and if they can be disenchanted, double dip the silver!

Can anyone confirm or deny the ability to disenchant the silver skeleton keys?

Ok, all u can disenchant are weapons and armor with uncommon or higher rarity. The reason that it says disenchant for things like keys is because people %^&* with the thottbot database. For things like lockboxes, disenchant means wat it would produce when u open it.

my mining lvl is 115 and the next thing i can get is at lvl 125 but everything i have is grey so..................... enless your can grow lvl's by making items that r in grey i dunno what to do. do you?

You can train to next lvl at 115 (think u can even do it at 100).

I'd LOVE to know where to mine silver in quantity...

Same for me im at 104 and cannot go up becasue of silver vein just mine 1 and it in the VC and can some one says wherea re they i know in SYV but im lvl 21 lol

k ive found a couple realiable spots i go to and they are in barrens frist one is in southern barrens near teh dwarf fort another is in the jungle lakes its a random spawn then i finaly one is the bunch of pig guys near camp tarajo

ok, im pretty sure i know why silver is so rare, i forget where i heard this though, so this might be wrong. i heard that instead of having fixed node locations like most metals, silver will randomly pop up in another metal's place (like if u go to some place where theres always a tin node, one day it might be a silver, although the next day it will be tin again). not that its gonna pop up in a thorium nodes place, more like tin copper and maybe gold.

There is a difference in smelting and actually mining. They are both a mining skills yes but when you just smelt to get your skill up you may come up short. The skill will come up grey on a certain ore before you can even reach the next skill level, but if you actually go to the vein you will see that it still has some green left in it to build your skill up =0)

I only have mining for the money, im tryin to get my skill up so then i can get lots of money from Thorium. To do this I havn't looked for Silver, if I found it helps but if you just mine Tin and Copper from around Southshore near the lions, you will get skilled very quickly.

I started mining not too long ago about 2-3 days ago and now I can have Iron and it helps...

I'm pretty sure that you can only find these in dungeons and caves, I have yet to actually find one, but I have found many iron ones...

It's rather frustrating, my mining skill is at 123 and I need 125 to mine iron :/

Here's the scoop for all of you that are having trouble getting to 125 in mining. Go to the Wetlands Thelgen Rock at 53,63. There is a cave that has incedicite ore (i think that's the name of the ore). The ore is for a quest only but it respawns quickly and the cave is full of it. Mining them will raise your level with each vein. Secondly, no, silver is not only in caves and dungeons but I haven't found anywhere that it is abundant....you just need to keep poking around until you find it.

Here's a quick hint on lvl ur mining... Blizzard didn't intend on lvl 15 and 16 toons to have 250 mining, if u get to a place and can't get ur mining up anymore because u can't make it to where the nodes are (as in the cave stated above) go lvl up until u can. Same goes with any profession, unless u have a ungodly rich main and ur on an alt, you should lvl up parallel to ur prof. skills. And i don't know anyone who pays 500g to twink an alts profession :)

silver is just a rare spawn of tin and iron, so it can pop up anywhere tin or iron can, just rarely. if you want it and can't mine, that's why we have the auction house. you level up mining by....MINING, and the color of the words 'requires mining' denotes the chance that mining that certain kind of vain will level you up. and finally, if you are too low level to reach a certain item in a certain area, then GO LEVEL UP!

On my Draenei character, I found silver deposits quite often around the Satyr encampments. Dunno if that helps at all, maybe I was just lucky ;)

Silver Veins can be found in veins all around the world from about level 15-60.

Had one appear in chest near the second body in the morloc area on stonecairn lake. NE of eastvale loggin camp.
