These are created from Copper Ore, which are very easy to mine in starting-level areas such as Elwynn Forest & Tirisfal Glades. (Keep in mind that night elf characters are not able to find copper until they journey to Darkshore, a level 11+ area)

Copper Bar's are used mainly by Engineers and Blacksmiths.

Copper Ore's smelt into Copper Bars, which are generally very easy to sell at high rates on the auction house. As such this is one of efficient ways to make money when first starting on a new server :)

The best place to mine copper in my opinion is the Gol'Bolar Quarry in Dun Morogh. You can easily get 100 ores per hour if you are alone.

I have found these to be an easy source of income since the release of TBC and the introduction of Jewelcrafting since most people are buying the mats to power through it to cap it on there main characters.

I would suggest mining to any new player as a way to make money with the way most low level crafting materials are selling at the moment, I am sure this effect won't last much longer but I do hope most of you take the chance to cash in on it.

This is by far the easiest way to make money at this time. I have made well over 40g on horde and more than 100g on alliance by simply smelting and selling on auction. On Tanaris Copper bars tend to go from anywhere between 75s all the way up to 1g50s. So for any new character I would suggest get mining and find those Copper Viens and saturate that market!

I say the best place to mine copper is near IF at the Gol'boar (spelling?) quarry. low level monster and plentiful veins around.

The price for copper bars is absurd though. 1g buyout on malygos. That is just BS.

Well I just picked up the mining skill, and downloaded the "Gatherer" addon (for a little extra help), and searched the world for the ore's... The moust copper/tin was in LochModan, I made the circle near the edge (where the mountains are) and came up with 100+ bronze bar's and of course the stones, and crystals...
Than if you are intended to grow your skill just look at the Blizzard's map for level reqirement's of each region (http://www.wow-europe.com/shared/wow-com/images/basics/flight/en/index.htm ) and you can guess what ore in witch region you can find. For example region level 1-20 you can find copper, tin, silver and gold, 20-35 iron and so on ... I hope this help's some people :D

Copper, Tin, Bronze 50s-1g depends on the market
Iron, Steel 4g-6g

Um. . . In Dun Morogh, theres a quarry, and theres about 3 copper nodes at a time, and they respawn like mad, got 70 copper ores and 50 rough stones in about 15 mins, had a field day engineering! ;)

Haha, to be honest with you... the starting area for the blood elves is a decent place. Not to mention tirisfel glades or whatever its called is an amazing place to mine aswell. So you are loaded with copper left and right. Ghostlands has quite a few down the dead scar too.

20 bars sells min 70s max 2g (most servers) in AH

doesnt take too long to get them... choose either
human or gnome/dwarf starting zones

by lv 10 it is ez to have at least 10g from this.
Grind bears and stuff, then see the copper and AHAH!

The best place (to me) to mine copper is Durotar. I've gotten 380 copper ore non-stop.

I'm not sure if it is because of people trying to work up thier jewelcrafting skill but this weekend on the Agamaggan server I have been selling stacks of 5 copper bars for 1g each. Crazy expensive, but it works for me.

I don't know about other servers, but on my server, the price of a single stack of Copper Bars went up to a freaking 3g! Whenever someone put it up of less, it was bought up immediately & reposted with a 3g BO.

Damn, this AQ thing is going to kill the economy :/

I started a dwarf warrior with mining and blacksmithing and once I hit around level 10 I just started doing laps around Dun Morogh. I would end up with about 8 stacks of these bars. Sold for about 16g. That's plenty of money for a 10 warrior. I can do this once every few sessions and make plenty of money!
