This armor was pretty useless for hunters before patch 2.0, yet I still saw a ton of them with it. However, now that agi is less important, the spirit and stamina on this is quite desireable, though you'd still probably be a little better off with a nice blue with agility and stamina or attack power.

Well the recent patch changed my wonderful armor to spirit and stamina armor instead of the strength I define my character by. I got mine off a pirate near the ships south of Booty Bay. Sold my previous +STR armor for it too. I'm not sure what posessed them to change epic items, but you'd think they would make them unsoulbound with such drastic changes.

You're an idiot. You could have gotten Royal Decorated Armor (http://www.thotbott.com/?i=39276) from Angerforge in BRD and saved yourself a ton of gold. RDA is better, too.

Okay, so it's nice that it's epic and all. But where does it sell? I've had this item on the Gorgonash AHs in IF and Gadget for over a week now - it won't sell! What's the price? I've tried everything from 70-90 BO to starting 75 no BO, and most recently 75-95 BO. That's what everyone says it's worth on my server.

One of my friends mentioned that it's shammy gear (I don't have a clue), so sell it in Gadget. Well, it's been there on 8hour auctions five times in gadget with not even a bid at 70 or 75.

Anybody know what's up?

It really does suck. lol .. Its way ugly too. I have a level 38 pally that i try to keep the best stuff for my levels on and this armor isn't it. Green Iron Hauberk is what i have, it has a base armor of 358 and i also added a +32 armor kit to reinforce it. So its close to 400. It comes with +7STR and +11 Stamina .. I couldn't imagine wearing something just because it's an epic if it means loweirng my armor. Screw that. This armor can jerk me off. Jerkin.. god.

A hit sends you into the air falling damage of 500-100 unless rogue then you have safefall. But otherwise hits for about 120 dmg to Mail wearer @ 45. Not too bad, full group of 46 + is good. Make sure you get hammer tho, thats a long tedious quest in itself w/ no XP reward.

I have this for my shaman, ready for level 40, it is excellent for pvp because of the 15 frost resistance (pesky mages and their nova), stamina of course is good and spirit will reduce down-time when grinding and agility is of course good for a shaman as crits lead to flurries, which leads to windfury procs, which leads to ownage, with an intellect or stamina enchant on this, I am pretty sure I will be using it until 50 at least. There are few decent alternatives e.g. the dragonscale breastplate, has good resists, but really lame stats, and that is not equippable for another 6 levels. If you have a sugar-daddied alt shammie like me, there is nothing better for your first mail chest piece!

ok...so i was in ZF at lvl 49 for know reason mainly to help a friend.....so this drops... im a shammy so i roll need.... a freakin priest ninjas it.... then he hearths so i cuss him and ignore and watnot.... so then we just finished the huge battle sequence and at the bottom we start fight wit seargent byle.... it dropes again! i get it.... and wore it.... soon another boe blue drops (thornestone sledgehammer or watever).... i got again...and sold...glad i tagged along ZF

Mine dropped from one of the last two bosses in SM (weird, seeing as most of these are higher levels and in other random places).

Being the moron I am, I decided that "Hey, I'll wear it!" without checking how much it sold for. So, at like 10g from my mount, I sold it for 1g to a vendor, and cried (not exactly, but I felt like a retard).

Now, any epic drops that are BoE I will check before I equip.

ps: why would you disenchant an epic to pick up 4 small radiant shards? you could sell it and buy way more shards with the gold you pick up.

I get it. It doesn't have sexy strength, attack power, hit or crit. In fact, the only DPS stat on it is a piddling amount of agility. Some epic, right?

Actually, this can be quite useful.

As a leveling ret pally, you're really just casting Seal of Command, auto-attacking, and perhaps judging when the seal is about to run out.

The thing is, mana regeneration from spirit kicks in 5 seconds after your last spell cast, regardless of whether you're in combat or not.

Assuming you're not going full tryhard and judging every 8 seconds, Icemail Jerkin and its 24 spirit will significantly reduce your downtime when grinding. Combine it with a couple of "of the Boar" greens for even more dramatic effect.

Don't believe me? Try it yourself; it'll be cheap. I've seen this item going for as little as 10g.

This may be a viable item for other classes/specs as well, but I just dont know them well enough.

Lots of people say this is one of the worst BoE epics because it has spirit, but anyone who says this just proves they're a noob because they don't know how Spirit works for warriors.

Warriors have WAY higher health regen from spirit than any other class. Like, a lot. One of the best-kept secrets to Warrior leveling is to stack tons of Spirit so that you get massive HP regen ticks in between mobs, decreasing your downtime. Icemail Jerkin helps with this.
