Update: Name Reservations for WoW: Forever Now Live in EU, NA

Posted 3 days ago by Jezartroz

Update 1:05pm PDT: NA players are now able to log in and reserve names, however many are facing queues and then instantly disconnect. Update 12:40pm PDT: EU players can now reserve their names! NA players still have about 20 minutes to wait until their scheduled time, so any delays are still unknown.

Update 11:20am PDT: The banner alert for many players has now changed to the following:

However, reports are that all rulesets are grayed out for those able to log in, meaning no names can currently be saved or reserved.

Wish they'd just announce a new time so I can go do something.

Same thing will happen on launch...

Comment by heppcatt

The problem is that most of us are so old that by the time we can reserve a name, we’ll have forgotten which one we wanted.

and no timeframe ty blizz

Comment by matticus777

They're too busy putting housing packs on the store and forgot about EU name reservation

Comment by basalt51

I don't see the message.

How hard is it to delay "Till at least 21:00" or something, bozos making us sit in front of our PC

Comment by ottoflop

Delay happens. Its understandable. This "an undetermined amount of time." I'm not ok with

Comment by Alderwhim

Oh no, they've been delayed FOREVER!

The ~~12.0.5 patch~~ Forever Naming launch was not up to our standards, and we know this disrupted your time and caused justified frustration.

The team has been working around the clock since ~~launch~~ the proposed times to stabilize the game and fix the biggest issues players were hitting right away: see our ~~hotfixes update here and our posts on the Bonus Roll issue here and here~~ banners and our lack of communication.

The team is taking lessons learned from this launch to help ensure this doesn't happen again. We will also work harder to communicate openly, early, and often when a launch doesn't go as expected: the known issues we're working on, fixes as they roll out, and any other information that would be useful to our community as problems are worked on and solved.

We care deeply about this game, and we play it right alongside you. We will do better.

Thanks for sticking with us,

The World of Warcraft Forever Team

Hey, Blizzard, I wrote your apology letter for you to post in a few days, thank me later.

Sucks for the people that paid money and carved out some time for this only to be met with the latest disappointment.. Even though it worked fine for classic if memory serves.

At least the precious streamers got their names right.. Screw the rest of us.

Gonna be a fun launch day

Comment by CraigTitus

Come on man at least give us an ETA

Comment by RiasxGremory

I don't see the error on my bnet.

Comment by Maldarax

we have been waiting for over one hour!

Comment by Lexyne

Its okey, while we wait we can go buy 2 new housing bundles and a new mount from the shop, right? Right? Had to triple check the date to make sure its not an aprils fool joke.

Comment by Viconianope

Experts exposing the same difficulties over and over again :D

Comment by Aoife59

I have no such message on my launcher and haven't seen it posted by Blizz anywhere else.

Comment by Eryius

I can log in (EU) but then as others mention, I cannot choose the ruleset.
What strikes me is that it only shows the PVE, PVP and RP sets, not the RP-PVP set. So maybe that's part of the problem they're working on?
