The alliance counter part to "into the scarlet monestary"
Wile the best tanking/off hand weapon comes from the horde version. the alliance are given a strong axe which is unreplace able (with out boe) till the uldaman pike or hammer.

It may not look as cool as the Whirlwind Axe or Ravager, but its better. The Ravager's proc is crap, worthless in combat. The +5 Str, +6 Stam above the Whirlwind is quite a bit. The DPS is just high enough to warrant this as my equip than the other two available at this point.

Perfect for Tanking at lvl40 (cause you dont do a whole lot :b )

Perfect for an arms warrior or a retri paladin. The speed makes it better than Nightblade (think that's the one.)

To bad hordes cant get this one. There is no better 2hander for that level, except for pendulum of doom, but that one's hard to get.

Ok first.. yeah the guy with the calculations but a little TOO much effort into it.. but people go too fer in ALOT of thing to put a point across... so just cause people are agruing about a game... doesn't mean they take it too seriously. Second, people talk about these things because they wanna have the best possible time in the game.. so they ask other people.. so yeah you can go ahead and have a drink, but dont diss people just cause they prefer to spend thier time doing something else... ohh and both are awaste of time admitidly. And to answer the guys question above me... I found that bonebiter is better than Whirlwind, ive used both ... and have both with me for a while... and I asked the same question.. and some people take looks over the stats sometimes, lol cause whirlwind looks %^&*ing sweet. But yeah.. I found Bonebiter to be better.

the whirlwind axe does 35dps and is 3.6 seconds per hit... this does 38 some dps and is 3.4... do the math.

i got this for a pally friend of mine he wanted the sword but i told him since he wants to be in close combat the Bonebiter would be better also counting the awesome stats to this thing.

Great weapon, lasted my Ret Pally until i was 51 and got the AV Polearm

Its definetly worth all the hassle to get

Amazing two-hander for mid-30s.

I did the quest on my Shaman at lvl 34 and got a deal with one of the 70s in my guild to clear SM for the quest. Wow, doe's this baby hit hard with wind-fury!

In PvP you can literally half-health or one shot anyone when this procs. Expect dmg from 700-1000~

No way am I giving my Whirlwind Sword up fot that thing- aesthetics, people! Aesthetics! I.E, it looks weak and stupid, as do most axes in this game.
At least hes not defying the laws of physics by holding it with one hand, t'would be actually possible.

You seriously need to respecc, or re-gear or both if you think that is mighty crit. My lvl 34 paladin, with corpsemaker has max crit of 475... when i get Bonebiter im pretty sure my crits will come over 500, easy!

My specc is 5 points in holy (strenght) rest is retri. enchants on all my gear (weapon damage +5) AND , its not a twink, my first and only char on that server.

Lol, funny paladis actually thinking they can do damage, my 29 warrior crits for around 600 executes. At 45 with this axe Itll be 800s if not 1000s

What does Item Level mean? is it the same as Required Level? In other words can i buy a item that says Item Level 40 but it doesnt say Required Level, and wear it at lvl 10?

To the Warriors on Alliance researching this weapon: My professional Opinion is to pass on this Axe if you have already gotten your Whirlwind weapon (ie: Axe, Mace, Sword.) If you don't know what I am talking about, see your trainer and/or Search "Whirlwind" and get the info on that quest to get said weapon.

If you do not already have a good Tanking weapon, I would suggest grabbing the Sword of Serenity from this Quest instead of this Axe. The Stamina is very nice for a Tank, as is the Weapon Damage, and good swing time. Yes, this Axe does indeed do more Damage than the Whirlwind, but this way you have a good damaging Unique 2Hander as well as a Unique Tanking Weapon all free. I hope this helps in your search for ideal gear. If not, I wish you luck.

Why would a Warrior choose the Sword? The spirit bonus is garbage, and the bonebiter gives a stamina too! All I do is if I want defense, I use the Aegis of the Scarlet Commander + Knightly Sword of the Bear, and if I want to do damage (With Bonebiter, which has better DPS AND better Str bonus than whirlwind), I equip the Bonebiter. Seriously, the Sword is a waste of an item for a warrior. I round myself off. I can destroy with Bonebiter, or go on the defensive with just a Knightly Sword and Aegis of the SC.

I use this on my 40 hunter. Hit's good, but I'd rather go to daggers, or maybe a polearm. Any suggestions?

This Axe might not be as great for Warriors as the Whirlwind, but it sure is nice for Shamans. I just got my Draenei Shammy up to 37 and got the drop on the Ravager, but this beats it out by far. Not as badass looking but the stats own and its not doing a spinnout move every 5 mins lol.

Guess I will keep the Ravager for crowds!

This is just wounderful, crits often for me, and with Seal of Command it does tons of damage.
And it looks realy nice with an enchant, like beastslay or +weapondamage (dont remmember the name of it) ;)

My lvl 41 Warrior friend has his whirlwind and he's doing ridiculous dps. I have a 59 warrior that does decent dps (of course warriors aren't made for dps), but it seems like he's doing more damage than I did at his level. He's like 23/9 Arms/Fury Spec

... and he's done as much as an 850 dmg Crit! Not sure if it was with heroic strike or regular. Probably a Heroic Strike crit, but that's still awesome for a 41 warrior. My 59 warrior has the Ice Barbed Spear and does crits as high as 1300 using Mortal Strike (of course I'll be respeccing Protection when I start running all instances). My regular crits get as high as 8-900. I'm Arms/Fury 33/17 as of right now.

oh, btw, he just picked up the Bonebiter because he'll never dual-wield and he's gonna use the vanquisher's sword for tanking when we do RFD tonight or tomorrow night.

I have a 41 Dwarf Priest alt and we have a friend with a 39 (hopefully 40 tonight:) human Warlock. We ALWAYS quest together, so it's a very nice experience as opposed to always soloing when I was leveling up my human Warrior.

i got this @lvl 39 and i still like it:)

and its cool.

but, i got whirlwind sword 2lvls earlier...i had a hard time to make my desicion(i thought the speed on the sword should be enough to not have this one, well i were so terribly wrong)
