Mats for the epic mace are
8 Sulfuron Ingots - Drop off Golemagg the Incinerator in MC
20 Dark Iron Bars - Made from 8 Dark Iron ore which can only be smelted at the Dark forge in BRD near the MC attunment
50 Arcanite Bars
25 Essence of Fire
10 Blood of the Mountain - Rare drop out of Dark Iron Veins
10 Lava Core - Blue BoE drop in MC
10 Firey Core - Blue BoE drop in MC

You will need someone to craft the epic mace. This requires someone to be exualted with the Thorium Brotherhood. They can be any type of blacksmith to forge the hammer which must be done at the Black Anvil located in BRD at Lord Insindus.

This will eventaly creat a Legandy wepaon know as Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros once you get a Legendary Eye to drop from Ragnaros the last boss in MC

This item can be made from Blacksmiths but they have to obtain the recipe which can be accessed after doing a quest called A Binding Contract the quest can be found at https://www.wowhead.com/forever/quest=7604. After making this you can use this for making the Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros but only when you get the Eye of Sulfuras which drops from Ragnaros.

You get the plans when u are exalted with Thorium Brotherhood. That's atleast what i have heard.

Still some confusion surrounding the creation of the Sulfuron Hammer (before it's fused with the eye). Does it require exalted blacksmith (any type) with Thorium Brotherhood, or is revered ok? ie. Can a revered armorsmith trek down and turn in an ingot in exchange for the plans to make the first hammer? Thanks. :)

had the ingots for quite a while now, and finally the eye did drop :D
Im shaman, WF crit goes fro 3-4k+, single Crit 1453,
with shocks i go for 300-400 DPS. ...yes bragging ;)

The thing is easy, u get the ingots from gole, dropchance is 11%, and after u got 8 ingots u can make the epic 2h. Every 300 smith can use 1 ingot to buy the plans! After that u have a 3,5% chance that raggy drop the eye, u just "use" eye and voila.... u got the legandary!

Its a guildeffort, as u surely dont have 20 cores on urself. U can get the bars and all the other maths.

Anyway, i dont match our DPSwars with this mace, they are better than me. Imo a warrior will benefit most of this mace, but warriors with swords will surely do more damage than with this mace. And on the other hand, when u dont got a kickass MT, noone can hold aggro, if u start to hit with this baby ;)

Now as AQ is nearly in range, we see a new best weapon, there is a 2h Axe with 385 MAxdamage and crazy stats..... Still, thats one of a few legandary and more a statussymbol for a guild than anything else.... and yes.... it good feeling to see WF with 2k minimum all the time :D

It;s part of a quest to create a better hammer, ragnaros' legendary sulfuros. That's probally why this one isn't as good as it should have been, regarding the stuff you need to collect for it...

I don't mean to be a total #$%^&*! to all you pally-lovers out there... but.... are you freckin' stupid! OK anyone holding the Sulfuras hammer is a mean SOB but still... How on earth could ANYONE match a Enhancement spec Shaman, with !@#$LOADS of Windfury, holding the Sulfuras Hammer... add a grace of air totem and you have a higher rate of crits... I am sorry friends but I don't see anything matching its powers with that...

I've seen a guy on the alliance side on stormscale with Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros. I think his name is köttarn i'm on the horde side and he's alliance so don't really know.

meccaryn, if by titan hammer you mean hammer of the titansit does nowhere near the damage of this thing.Taran icebreaker may have a better proc, but at least you dont have a one in 40 thousand chance of seeing it drop

I just thought i should clear his up as there seems to be a lot of confusion about the sulfuron hammer and sulfuras itself

1) the sulfuron hammer is bind on equip. yes, this means it can be sold at auction, though if you're guild can make this, chances are the first one will be given to the warrir/palladin/shaman/druid in your guild that won the roll on...

2) the eye of sulfuras. one of 4 known legendry items. this is bind on pick-up, so the eye cannot be traded. it has no use except for being the second component, in addition to the sulfuron hammer, needed to make the only legendry weapon currently around:

3) Sulfuras,Hand of Ragnaros. only 2 in existance, both bind on pickup. 1 is on the live realm shattered hand, owned by an alliance palladin, the second is on a US test realm where multi-copying was carried out for the ingots. this hammer is bind on pickup, which is why if a non 2-handed hammer user rolled the eye, there would be a lot of very unhappy people in that raid...

So, the most powerful hammer in the game has only been made on 1 live server (lets face it, the test realms do not really count). i personally do want to discuss which class this hammer suits best, except that, as procs don't work in shapeshift, it is of no use to a druid AT THE MOMENT.

This also exists on Archimonde (best french server) in possesion on the Millenium guild on the caracter Kjiouna.

It was made like 3 or 4 weaks ago. I thought it was the first in Europe.

You have the Eye of Sulfuras from drop from Ragnaros. You combine the eye with this hammer to create a legendary weapon.

even if you could get 25k gold for this, no one in their right mind would ever sell it. Having a soon-to-be legendary would be way cooler.

and I wouldn't doubt that you'd get kicked from your guild either.

Sulfuras, Pugno di Ragnaros have to say 80dps is a pretty big number. The stats ain't half bad either, and that's a pretty big proc.

I heard that the first guild that made it had some but not all of the materials. When the test server came up, they shifted items around and had people transfer their characters, duplicating the materials. Then somebody forged it and started to have fun.

It might now exist in the live servers though. If only hunters could use maces.

We've been fighting in Molten Core for a few months now and have only recieved 1 Ingot, which was used to get the plans. We got the eye on our third kill of Ragnaros and still need 8 Ingots. At the rate we are going we expect to have 2 or 3 eyes before we have enough Ingots to make this hammer. Hopefully the Ingot drop rate will be upped in the future because right now you are more likely to get the Legendary item before you can collect the pieces for the Epic hammer.

there's 2 people on Medivh with the completed Sulfuras, hand of Ragnaros hammer, one on horde and one on alliance, i won't say names cuz i don't want to get them mobbed with people, but yea, it sucks getting hit in WSG with that thing...

Um... he's talking about the sulfuron hammer, not the hand of sulfuras. Two differnt items.

I have the bs pattern for the Hammer but looking at it, it shows the DPS as 36 to 47 in game where as wowhead shows it as 176 to 295. Before I waste the mats which is it, or do you have to upgrade it somehow?
