Decent sets. Classic andies are going to say its just retail sets. But im glad to see they arent repeating the same concepts for the 40th time.

Interesting that they're sort of combining the tier set models we've seen. We get four bonuses, a la Vanilla 8-piece tier sets, but we only have to wear 5 pieces to get all the bonuses, a la TBC and onwards tier sets. Different, but in an interesting way. I like it (conceptually, at least).

Comment by wyndamore

They look like retail garbage sets, i hate them. They need to just go copy the tier sets from Turtle WoW, those ones look way better.

Comment by MalenInsekt

Will 1% increased attack and cast speed actually do anything? That seems to effectively be nothing at all. Sources of increased attack speed are rare so you're not going to be stacking them for any meaningful benefit, especially not at the expense of something more useful and tangible. Lets say you are using a 2H mace as an enhancement shaman. It has an attack speed of 3.50 and you get a 1% attack speed increase from the set bonus. Your mace now swings at 3.465 attack speed. This does not do anything. The increase is so small it is imperceptible. The bonus is there as a filler for the sake of putting something there. It's essentially empty.

Iv never seen more irrelevant and pointless sets... they are so bad that you can in fact just get gear with the highest "ilvl" or stats that you need, and fully ignore sets.

I dont mind myself, but... this is really bad, set bonus wise. Most are copy paste generic. Not a single fun bonus in a single set. Really a bad showing for what we should expect in Forever..

I really really hope the same team making retail gear looks aren't working on the WoW Forever gear sets. I am a very huge tmog guy, and I really think all the newly made retail pieces are not good. Same color scheme every patch. Yellow, Blue, Red, Purple, Green. For the love of God do not bring that to WoW Forever. Make class sets and colors different; feel like they are based around. Not just a apply same color to all sets kind of thing.

Comment by wowveteran1

I've played good bit of both retail + classic and this appears to just be reused assets from retail no? I don't think this is legit, I don't think they would put this in wow forever/classic plus.

Comment by Qweck

I really do like the sets! (Especially as a shaman, cant get to get my hands on that!) But I do feel like the Classic Artstyle and Retail Style, do not really compliment each other at all.. I hope that, that is something blizzard will streamline more for the full release... this mish-mashing of retail and classic Art has to stop.

Comment by Ashreon

These sets are the crafted version you can get from gaining reputation with Mount Hyjal faction, they're not the token set. We know, for a fact, that the gear sets will run on a token system. This seems to be more focused on people that won't be raiding rather than people that will be raiding.
The raid sets have not been released yet as the raids are not in the client.

the hunter set looks better thne anything ive seen in retail for like 5 years how is this going to work for SD models

Comment by smozeur

There are already a bunch of sets in classic, why did they release ''Season One'' sets. And honestly, like many said before me, they feel so 'retails' in terms of aesthetics. Why release the same sets in 4 different colors? At this point, just give us a way to dye our gear.

Comment by Sixpac

Lame. I want my Giantstalker and Naxx Shaman sets - just a bit polished!

Comment by SpookyKabooki

I honestly don't have anything inherently against the designs of these tier sets, but the different colorations kind of worry me. I find that retail raiding kind of gets rlly unnecessarily complicated, with normal and heroic being difficulties that feel enjoyable and raid finder and mythic being kind of annoying. I don't have experience with classic, but what was exciting me about the idea of raiding in WoW forever was the idea that I would not have to deal with world buff metas and there would only be one difficulty per tier.

My worry is that with 4 colors of the same set we are going to have 4 different difficulties. When December comes around we are going to have 3 different raids with 10, 20, and 40 man sizings, which would only account for 3 of these color schemes. Maybe the sets are made with professions? I am not sure.

I also just wish I could see SD models for everything. The paladin gear specifically is not very strong and kind of blends in with the dungeon set for warriors, kind of looking more like a toys r us exclusive version of it rather than a unique set for paladins. The other colors are better, but I rlly need to see the SD versions of these sets to be sold.

As I was typing I realized it could be heroic and normal versions of the raids, with 2 of the sets being raid tiers and 2 being for pvp? but once again I personally really think having 1 version of each set is the best possible outcome.. Idk it's just been nagging me every time I look at these sets and I wanted to say smthn.

Comment by Majeyelol

As long as they keep the design of gear unique (and separate from retail), it'll be good.

And for the love of all that is holy, let us dye our gear already. I'd love to strut around in all black-dyed with green highlights gear.

Comment by lukethiel

Okay, these are dope but let's talk BRASS TACKS.

Why 4 sets if only 1 difficulty?
Different set bonuses? 4 ways to play each class?

Comment by kikoredog

"5-Piece: Reduces the cooldown on your Devouring Plague spell by 60 sec."

Devouring plague has a 24 second cooldown to begin with...?

Comment by Highmen

For the warrior except the bonus 2, the rest smell like useless.. Maybe the bonus 4 is situational. But i like the skin.
