For rogues, it's very highly recommended that you complete the quest "Corruption of Earth and Seed" as soon as possible to get this sword. It's amazing for a quest item, and will complete with the Bloodrazor -- https://www.wowhead.com/forever/item=809 -- in damage.

What I've noticed was before the patch it seemed like when it proc'd there would be 4 swings, now there are only 3. I don't think they meant it to have that many swings in a row. Sucks though because it was nice when this thing went off with 4 swings in a row - add the Seal of Command proc and you got some high damage dealt.Lets face it, paladins may be able to own warriors, but they have nothing on rogues, they can divine/heal all they want, IF they can get it off, a smart rogue will just carry high level potions, if he heals, chug the potion.

But cheap shot, SS, SS, Kidney shot, SS, blind, build energy, SS, SS, gouge, SS, cold blood, evisc = gg any meele, stunlock, always works.Seems to be about 5%. I have seen this weapon proc 3 times in a battle with equal level (within 20 seconds). It doesn't appear to be time based on the proc - although I suspect some weapons are. I think Bliz is careful about releasing this info so they can program undercover around imbalances that appear with some of the higher powered weapons.

Rogues will see more procs out of this than other classes thanks to all their special attacks like SS, EVIS, GHOSTLY, presuming its in the main hand. Slice and dice will also speed the chance up of course.

The bad? There is none really, its a poor poison applying weapon due to its speed and you'll probably only ever use half your charges. For the pure battle rogue, there are few one handed weapons that do a better job than Thrash Blade.

Comentario de 6757

As far as poison application goes, your mainhand weapon will usually consume charges at least as fast as your offhand will due to the frequency of 'instants' -- this may change with Mutilate and eventually Shiv, of course.

Selecting a faster weapon for the mainhand merely for poison application (assuming similar DPS) will reduce the damage range of your instant attacks, a very unworthy tradeoff.

Comentario de 8288

This sword is just a great sword for me the extra attack kick in about every other fight.

Comentario de Shivacode

Thrash is probably one of the best rogue/warrior weapons until 60, just because the proc is so insane. Best of all, it's free so get it as soon as you can. An excellent 40-49 PVP bracket weapon, wish that shamans could use it!

Also, this makes an incredible protection-spec pally weapon. Combine the proc with Reckoning and you're getting up to 4 swings a go. Grab this and go prot AE grinding for good times!

Comentario de 32855

I put crusader on mine and I plan to use it until 58 when I go to outland :D

Comentario de 38037

The proc can't trigger the sword spec proc anymore, right? Thought I saw that in the patch notes way back when, unsure.

Comentario de 48500

This is an awesome sword for duel weilding warriors... combined with the WSG pvp sword it owns all!

Comentario de sneak

combine this with a bloodrazor, and you'll be on top of the 40-49 PvP bracket

Comentario de 51621

I recieved this sword and use it in my main hand....for off hand i use the claw of celebras - picked up during the quest for Thrash!!! - now my crit has gone up over a point and my DPS has skyrocketed! I really highly recommend combining these two - as a level 48 rogue i am able to kill up to 5 level's above me (3 levels above me with mobs up to 3) and i am able to kill lvl 49 elites. - i highly recommend this for rogues!

Comentario de Allakhazam

good rogue weapon cant see it for much else.. i got it at 46 so it was awesome.... if your horde its a great weapon when a shammie lays that wf totem down. had my thras proc wf wf again then thrash again. lets just say followed by a cb evis that was major dps.

Comentario de Allakhazam

Got this baby the other night..... Don't know if i should go to SM and get the Aegis or just be lazy and get something of AH im lvl 49 by the way...

The proc is fantastic as far as I have seen.
Not excactly my main weapon anymore but as a warrior I found it usefull for the lower levels (like the first 3 levels after I could get it as reward).

Comentario de Allakhazam

it is popular to dual wield with a phantom blade

Comentario de Allakhazam

got a firey on this thing, it's real nice. i have this off phantom main for now, gonna put this main firebreather off once i do ST

Comentario de Allakhazam

Got this wep at 48, its awesome and good for a main handed wep for combat rogue. Best sword untill you replace it with a Outlands Green sword.

Comentario de Allakhazam

Just got this today on my 46 UD warrior (fury spec). this is an awesome wep and i recommend you do a princess run of Mara to get.

Comentario de Allakhazam

Everyone has one of these man

Comentario de Allakhazam

Heya,

I just got this today and it says that it gives a chance on hit to grant 2 extra attacks on your next swing, not one.

Other stats are the same.

Arfur, Gnomish Warlock on Stormrage

Comentario de Allakhazam

What lvl can I get the quest at?

Comentario de Allakhazam

Hmm. I already got the bonesnapper which is a mace with around the same dps, but includes stats rather than a proc. After getting that I had someone share this quest with me which I'll try for tanking when I get it. Usually I just use a 2-hander to actually make rage because the Sword of Serenity just doesn't cut it, and I hate that thing =D Maybe I'll just duel-wield this and the mace since I'm specced in both just a tad, but I hate duel-wielding too sometimes =D 2-hander + crits = fun because they're just much higher. Let me just go touch an undead for 1200 dmg =)

Comentario de Allakhazam

Yea it looks pretty kool to me, even if everyone has it, I would be super happy to have one for my weapon collection!:p That is a little hobbie I have when I get bored in wow, you guys should try it, kind've fun to collect stuff.

Comentario de Allakhazam

As a rogues rogue weapon - it's 2.7 speed! As a rogue I'd have thought you'd be looking at a <2.1 speed weapon, I'm not sure - I've never properly played a rogue but thats just the jist I get.
And for the pallys, if you are wanting something to SoC and do nice damage with then use a 2hander :).
Actis - if you are trying to keep agro why not Seal of Fury for 10-15seconds then move back to Seal of Command after?
Just my thoughts anyhow...

Comentario de Allakhazam

Yeah, you can sometimes get 4 hits with this blade with your SoC. I put Fiery on this blade when I first got it around lvl 45 and it's adds a nice +30 to +60. Might not seem like much, but when I get 2-4 hits out of it, I see like 4 +40's for fire damage, 2 normal hits of 150-200 and then my two holy damages of around 350. I am a lvl 60 pally and I still use this blade.

Also, I use my secondary sword Hanzo Blade for healing. When I need hp ( can do this for mana too ), I throw Seal of Light on me and I cast Seal of Crusader on me and get out my Hanzo Blade with Crusader Enchantment ( making it a hit less than a second ). I usually hit the proc from my crusader every 4th-7th hit and all I see are tons of +59's and +150's. =D

Right now I am about to purchase a Destiny for 400g, and that is gonna be my new damage dealing blade till I get the plans to make my own Reaper. =)

But I'll have to wait..

Batos, Level 45 dwarf hunter, Earthen Ring

Comentario de Allakhazam

Meh, used it for 2 levels, and disenchanted it. I didnt care, I really didnt like the blade. Got a Firebreather? Today, and I like it a lot more as an offhand wep. Im quite satified with my main hand wep, and so I wasnt gonna use thrash blade for it.

Comentario de Allakhazam

Comentario de Allakhazam

Comentario de Allakhazam

thott says lvl 45, some posters in here say mid 40's.. but allakhazam says the quest is lvl 51.. but dont say what lvl it can be attained...

anyone know for certain?

Comentario de Allakhazam

Can this weapon be dropped by the princess? Or do you have to do the quest asocciated with it?

I may be a Gnome, But I hit like a Bull!

Comentario de Allakhazam

I have recently aquired a PB from a riend upon reaching 44.I am a combat specced rogue. I was wondering if I should use PB, thrash, or both?

Comentario de Allakhazam

this is a reward you get for killing princess in Mara, if you are a warrior and not too rich, your gonna have this sword for a LONG time :P

Comentario de Allakhazam

For a rogue, this weapon is simply godly when you first get it in the mid 40's as a free reward. You will be bragging to your friends about setting a new record for procs in a battle, and a new record high sinister strikes crit. Then, slowly, as you make your way into the 50's you realize your faithful Thrash Blade isn't cutting through mobs as fast as it once did, yet nothing really appears on the auction house that can compare either....

Thumbing through quest rewards produces no answer either, there is simply nothing appealing that provides a good boost of DPS yet maintains high sinister strikes. A rogue will begin to hate his once revered Thrash Blade because of this. It is not uncommon for mid 50's rogue to have developed a new name for it as well, Trash Blade.

Some rogues will give in to the fool's gold choice of the Assassination Blade at 52. Dumping their life savings into the heavily price gouged weapon for a couple more DPS. But the sad fact is the only worthy successor does not come to end game, when you can run UBRS or have farmed enough as a 60 to afford Krol's or possibly a Sword of Zeal. This is the sad tale for at 90% of rogues out there. Hope you enjoyed our little history :)

Comentario de Allakhazam

I went through Mara for the first time today. good day. i lvled, got PB, and now i can wear a hole buncha pwnage armor...next time i go through Im getting this to go with PB, :)

Comentario de Allakhazam

Comentario de Allakhazam

**** it i want this weopon however level 12 boo hoo

Comentario de Allakhazam

What can you expect?

Best quest reward in the entire game. Given the amount of work, anyway.

Comentario de Allakhazam

Haha, put this wep on a Ret spec Pali, and you have a chance Triple hit. One from normal weapon hit, one from weapon proc, and another from seal of command. Than add in the possiblity of them critting.... I got it to Double crit while i was farming the lvl 30's in Thunder Axe Fortress, Desolace. That was one dead dude.

Comentario de Allakhazam

I have this main Julies Dagger off-hand for posin proc fast... the proc on it proc kinda alot and nice to get Firy Wepon enchant on it.

This is a great sword and one of the best ones you can get easily.

You don't have to fork over 100's of gold to get it or farm and pray to god something awesome drops.

My rogue is currently still using this .

As far as the main-hand/off-hand stuff goes, I personally have a macro and a lot of other rogues have it as well, that allows you to switch your mainhand and offhand weapon and this is a pretty good free one-handed weapon that allows you to switch back and forth.

The proc used to go off ALL the time for me, but since they "fixed" it, it seems to go off maybe twice during a fight.

Overall, an awesome sword considering it's a quest reward.

Comentario de Allakhazam

3 procs, one off another. Was beautiful.

Comentario de Allakhazam

This question focuses towards paladins.

With seal of command, obviously you get another chance to attack for holy damage equal to your weapon's damage. However, if you chance to hit a double attack, will that chance seal of command twice, turning two attacks into four? I have no idea if it would happen or not, but that in itself sounds like a cool possibility. Even if that doesn't happen, it still looks like a tempting weapon to quest for in the future...

Comentario de Allakhazam

To be honest this one quickly got outdated for me, the proc is nice but like SoC its not very common, even less so than SoC and its slow attack speed was costing me aggro even with SotC.
Its nice at first but don't expect it to last long (from a paladins point of view anyway :)

OMG ROGUE WEAPON! OWNAGE...This and ironfoe, it's over.

Comentario de Allakhazam

nuff said.

Comentario de Allakhazam

Ive had the blade AND my Sword Spec proc at the same time. Each attack gets an extra. 4 attacks at once, AND ive had them Crit.

Comentario de Allakhazam

if anyone by any chance has a picture of this with +15 agility on it let e know... if not im going to be the first one, just would like to see what it would look like first. Thanks!

Comentario de Skrapers

So I have a question. As a rogue with this in my off hand and say... Ironfoe in my main hand, and hand of justice equipped. And 5 points in sword specialization, How likely am I to have multiple bonus attacks proc off each other?
