Works similar to Smokey's Lighter, a trinket reward from a quest at Light's Hope Chapel in the Eastern Plaguelands.

This trinket creates an flamethrower in an AOE cone of roughly 180 degrees in front of you, doing 60-69 dmg a tick x 10 seconds to all targets within it. Can also backfire and set you on fire for several seconds (similar to a Conflagrate effect from General Drakkisath in UBRS).

5 minute cooldown.

The ticks can crit, and do so often.

There's a lot of confusion about this currently. There are basically four types of items that can be made by engineers:

BoE items that can be used by any engineer and traded.
BoP items that can be crafted by a specific specialization, but used by any engineer
Items that require a specific specialization to use.
BoP items that can be crafted by an engineer, but can be used even after engineering is dropped

Gnomish Engineering allows you to craft these items:

Item	Bind on Pickup	Requires Engineering to Use	Requires Gnomish to Use
Yes	Yes	No
No	Yes	No
No	Yes	No
No	Yes	No
No*	Yes	Yes
No	Yes	Yes
Yes	Yes	No
Yes	No	No
No	Yes	No
No	Yes	No
Yes	Yes	No

* This is Bind on Use (not equip).

If your intent is to switch to Goblin after crafting all the goodies (by dropping and re-leveling Engineering), you should probably craft all of these items, but you must craft 侏儒护目镜, 侏儒作战小鸡, 侏儒死亡射线, and 发条娃娃 (these are Bind on Pickup) or you will lose access to these items permanently (unless you drop and re-level Gnomish Engineering again.)

安全传送器：加基森 and 世界放大器 cannot be used by a non-gnomish engineer, so you can skip crafting these if you're planning on switching.

NOTE: 侏儒死亡射线 doesn't require Engineering to use, so technically, you could level Engineering to craft this item, and drop it and still be able to use it.

Goblin Engineering allows you to craft these items:

Item	Bind on Pickup	Requires Engineering to Use	Requires Goblin to Use
地精火箭靴	No	No	No
No	N/A	N/A
No	Yes	No
Yes	Yes	No
No	Yes	No
No	Yes	No
Yes	Yes	No
No	Yes	No
No	Yes	No
Yes	No	No
No	Yes	No
Yes	No	No
No*	Yes	Yes

* This is Bind on Use (not equip).

If your intent is to switch to Gnomish after crafting all the goodies (by dropping and re-leveling Engineering), you should probably craft all of these items, but you must craft 地精采矿头盔, 地精炸弹箱, 地精龙枪, and 炸弹宠物 (these are Bind on Pickup) or you will lose access to these items permanently (unless you drop and re-level Goblin Engineering again.)

NOTE: I recommend you go Gnomish first because most items crafted by Goblin are consumable, whereas Gnomish is toys and trinkets that can be used after you switch. If you do Goblin first, you'll not be able to craft some of the most powerful explosives in the game for yourself and need to buy them regularly if you want to use them.

空间撕裂器 - 永望镇 cannot be used by a non-goblin engineer, so you can skip crafting these if you're planning on switching.

NOTE: 地精龙枪 doesn't require Engineering to use, so technically, you could level Engineering to craft this item, and drop it and still be able to use it.
